Christine felt bad for how she reacted but she had to walk away quickly before she did something that would cost her her friendship with Sky. She bit her lower lip to stem the flow of tears and hurried into the main room to mingle.

Looking over at Tash, Sky shifted uncomfortably as he asked to fill the awkward silence between them, "Uh . . . was it something I, you know, said?"

Tash just looked at Sky. "Something you said?" She asked try not to laugh at him. "You could say that. But it is more of what you have not said."

Christine spotted Brandon talking with Stella. Since, technically she was the hostess - since she had been the one to plan the party - she figured that she might as well see how the guests were doing. She quickly made her way over and offered both a fake sunny smile. "Hey, what do you think of the party so far?" she asked.

Turning toward Christine, Stella replied cheerily, her arm still entwined in Brandon's, "It's going fabulous; I mean, the colors, the atmosphere, and your dress . . . all of it is perfect. Sky should be very pleased." Laughing, Stella poked Brandon in the stomach, "Pooh bear, tell Christine how pretty she looks in the dress I lent her."

"Great Party, Sky had no clue of what you planned." Brandon praised Christine. "And that dress looks wonderful on her."

Christine sheepishly blushed. "Thanks," she said. "And thank you for letting me borrow the dress, Stella. All my formal clothing that I had in my dorm were all men's suits and well... I deserve to be a little feminine." She mentally drooped since Sky hadn't even commented on the dress.

Stella shook her head as she replied, "I honestly don't see how you can stand to go to Red Fountain." Wrinkling her nose delicately, she continued, "I mean, how do you ever stand those uniforms? I know I wouldn't be able to because in case you haven't realized it yet, rule number one for me is that I must always look pretty." Brushing her hair back over her shoulder, Stella tilted her head slightly to the left as she eyed Christine critically. "I don't usually say this, but I think that dress looks better on you than it does on me . . . so you should keep it." Sighing, Stella said sadly, "You know, I never could pull off that shade of blue."

"Oh I don't know about that cupcake. I think you look stunning in anything you wear." Brandon said.

"Well, they turned the pants into a skirt for me since I got revealed as a girl. The only reason I went to Red Fountain is because of my stunning lack of magic," she admitted. "And thank you," she said quietly, smiling.
She just wondered why Sky hadn't even commented on her dress. It wasn't like she wore dresses all that often...

"That may be but you were the only person that I know of that could beat Sky hands down in tactics." Brandon pointed out, "magic may not be your thing but your one of the best that we have. But I didn't tell you that." Brandon added with a grin.

Curiously, Stella asked Christine, "I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but did you say that you're not good at magic or that you don't have any magic?" Frowning, Stella asked, "I mean, aren't you bonded to Belle? If so, I thought pixies only bonded to fairies and other magical beings. So surely you've got a little Winx in you, Christine."

"A bit of both," Christine said. "I can't really use magic and I barely have any," she continued. "But I guess being a seer makes up for my stunning lack of magic and lack of ability to use it."
She did a quick glance about to see if Sky had emerged unscathed from his encounter with Tash.

Tash just looked at Sky. "Something you said?" She asked try not to laugh at him. "You could say that. But it is more of what you have not said." Sky stared at Tash for a moment, before he nodded, trying to cover up his confusion. "Uh, well, I'm going to go. Bloom's waiting for me and all. I guess I'll see you around, Tash." Before she could reply, Sky quickly exited the kitchen and made his way back to where Bloom sat. Handing Bloom a glass, Sky said, "I hope you like punch because it looked like that that was all there was." With a laugh he continued, "Well, maybe not . . . but it was crowded and the punch was right in front of me so I just got that. I hope you don't mind."

Well, as unscathed as one could get, she noted mentally. She bit her lower lip and looked at Stella and Brandon. "Well, if you excuse me, I'm going to get a breath of fresh air. I need something to wake me up a bit. Haven't been sleeping well," she admitted. Tears sparkled in her eyes before she beat a hasty retreat so the two lovebirds didn't see her cry.
