"I promise," Christine said. "Six hours should be good. Besides, after the week I had planning this..." She gave a small tired yawn and took a long sip of coffee. "I could use as much sleep as I can." "Good," Tash said as she poured hot water over the power. Handing the new mug over to Chris. "It doesn't taste good." Tash added as a warning. |

"Does anything that's close to resembling medicine ever taste good?" Christine asked, before sipping it. She wrinkled her nose slightly but continued to drink the concoction that Tash handed her.

"I see," Sky replied, feeling quite stupid for making that mistake. Quickly changing the subject, Sky asked, "Say, do you want something to eat? I mean, I'd be happy to go grab you something from the kitchen." Great now she had upset him, "Thank you, I'm fine. Besides it's your party you don't have to do that for me." Bloom smiled as Sky. |

"Good news, it's not medicine. It is like coffee only it packs a bigger punch. I use it when I have to pull an all nighters. Feeling better?" Tash asked once Chris had swallowed it. |

Sky smiled down at Bloom as he replied, "No, I insist; Besides, as the birthday boy you have to let me do as I please. And right now I wish to treat you like queen you are." Pausing, Sky grinned as he nudged her, "At least let me get you a drink, hmm?" |

"Wait a few minutes for that to kick in and then go out there, have fun and flirt like crazy and show that silly boy what he is missing by dating that, that" Tash paused as she thought about it, "You know I can't think of any polite words to describe her." |

Christine giggled at Tash's comment about Bloom. An amused twinkle sparkled in her eyes. "I think I will. Besides, he's played with my heart, now it's my turn," she said. Although - she'd probably wouldn't if she came right down to it. She was not going to play with Sky's heart, even if he played with her own. Tash grinned back knowing full well that Chris would not play with his heart. "You have arranged on hell of a party, go and enjoy all your hard work. I'll man the kitchen for a while." |

Christine blushed. "Thank you," she said. She hid a small yawn behind her hand. "Oh, excuse me. I just hope his parents sent him a present. It'd be embarrassing if they hadn't." She tried to remember what she had gotten Sky for his birthday and then remembered. It was a special statue. A knight in three forms - a hybrid wolf, a wolf, and a human. She hoped Sky would love it.

"Do I have a choice if I am not to argue with the birthday boy?" Bloom teased. "Since your insisting, a drink would be lovely." Giving Bloom a quick kiss on the top of the head, Sky replied, "Your wish is my command, my lady." With that he disappeared into the crowd, heading in the direction of the kitchen. As he saw the entrance just up ahead, Sky smiled, relieved that he wouldn't have to keep pushing through the masses of people. Stepping into the kitchen, Sky's eyes widened as he came face to face with Christine. Quickly recovering, he offered her a warm smile as he said, "Hello, again." Seeing Tash standing in the background, Sky gave her a small wave. |

Christine blushed. "Ah, hi," she said quietly. "I think I'm going to go mingle." She didn't understand why she suddenly felt shy around him. She absently tugged on the hem of her dress again.

Feeling slightly rebuffed, Sky nodded as he replied, "Oh. Umm . . . right. Yeah - I was just going to get a drink for Bloom." Seeing the punch sitting on the counter, Sky laughed awkwardly as he continued, "Ah, there it is. Punch. That's some good stuff, you know." Wincing at how incredibly stupid he sounded, Sky reddened. Quickly Sky turned his back to Christine and busied himself with pouring two glasses of punch.
