Glancing at Karina, Tash realized that as amusing at that thought was not everyone would think so, "Bad joke on my part. Neither of us would find it all that amusing if it were to happen in real life." she admitted, "but tonight is for venting and just be the girly girl that the boys have such a hard time with us being." she wasn't excusing her actions or apologizing for them, mearly saying as she saw it.

"Forgive the way I spoke, Karina, I'm an emotional wreck at this point so I'm not thinking too clearly," she admitted softly.

"No need to apologize," Karina replied quickly. "Really. I know you guys were just joking and hey, if that's what you need to do to get over him, then I'm not going to tell you that you shouldn't do it."

Christine smiled. "So, what trouble do you think our pixietails can give him?" she asked with a light laugh.

Twisting her head to look at her pixietails, Karina asked with a light laugh, "So you guys, what can you do?"
With an indignant "hmph" at being laughed at, PixieSong fluttered over to Christine and said matter-of-factly, "He is very vain, isn't he? I'm certain he loves his hairix . . ." Her voice taking on a mischievous tone, she continued, "Perhaps we can use it for a nestix."
Jumping in on the conversation, PixieTwitter chimed in, "We could pluck each strand individuallyix."
"Until he is baldix!" finished PixiePlume with a pretty swish of her tail.

Christine laughed merrily at the thought. "Yes, Sky is vain, isn't he?" she asked rhetorically. She gave the pixietails a sunny smile. "Do whatever you deem fit."

Song, the bluntest of the bunch, clucked at this before she said, "Why do you like a boy who is so vainix?" Insightfully, she continued, "Doesn't that mean that he will always care more about himself than youix? That is not right, if you ask meix."

Christine paused at what 'Song had said. The small bird had raised a lovely point that she hadn't truly noticed. "I thought because we knew each other as children for a summer, that I understood him. That we were friends and teammates that meant something," she said softly. Her eyes lowered. "I just thought I could have had a chance." She sighed softly. "And, you know, I think he's always chosen his feelings over my own."

Seeing that her comment had made Christine sad, Song quickly cried, "Please, don't be sadix. Here, we shall sing you a pretty songix!" Flying over to Twitter and Plume, Song whispered something that only they could hear. Soon, however, the three pixetails lined themselves up so that they were sitting next to each other and in unison they began to sing: "When you're down and troubled and you need a helping hand and nothing, whoa nothing is going rightix. Close your eyes and think of me and soon I will be there to brighten up even your darkest nightix. You just call out my name and you know where ever I am I'll come running, oh yeah baby to see you againix. Winter, spring, summer, or fall, all you have to do is call and I'll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah. You've got a friendix." OOC: Song is "You've Gotta Friend" by James Taylor - of course I made a few alterations with the "ix"s

Christine smiled up at the tiny singing trio. "That was very pretty, thank you," she said softly, smiling. Her eyes twinkled as she smiled at her friends and their pixietails.

"You're welcomeix," the trio chimed together before they disbanded and fluttered about the room.
Looking up at her pixietails, Karina couldn't help but smile. Sometimes they were a pain - like the way they would sporadically decide to sing at two in the morning, driving her, Alice, and everyone in the general area of her dorm crazy - but other times, like the present moment, they were so sweet that it easily made up for all their mischievous ways.

Christine smiled at her friends, her emotions finally settling down and she was slowly becoming calm. "Well, shall we join everyone at the dinner or should I ask that we have a small meal here in the privacy of this room?"

"It's up to you," Karina replied, lightly squeezing Christine's hand. "Do you think you're up to being around all those people?" Pausing for a moment, she added softly, "All though, if you ask me . . . you shouldn't let Sky ruin this night for you. Your coronation dinner only happens once and I think you should enjoy it. And besides that, all the people out there dining are here for you; they love you to death and I'm sure they're dying to celebrate this special occasion with you."

She nodded slightly at Karina's statement. "I've let Sky rule over me for far too long, allowed him more control over me since he was my friend and my team leader," she said softly. She rose slightly from her spot on her bed. "Come, let's join the others at the dinner."

Rising out of her chair, Karina tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear as she said, inwardly relieved and pleased that Christine was putting herself back together, "Lead the way."
