Tash shook her head to wake the pixietails, once they had surfaced she asked, "Fluff and Dream could I get you to help me with a huge favor for Lady?" At the mention of helping lady both pixietails were more then ready to help, "Yes, anythingix."
Tash grinned, sometimes these pixietails were down right cute. "Can the two of you go and find her chocolate?" once they were on their way, "And I didn't forget about you Shimmer, I have something for you to do. Can you bring me the box that is sitting on my desk?"
~
Shimmer was the first to return. "Thank you Shimmer," Tash said scratching the head of the pixietail. Handing the box over to Christine, "This is my one indulgence, Belgium chocolates. You've been to Earth before so I should hope you've tried them if not enjoy."

"Born and raised on Earth except for certain summers and winters," Christine said, picking up a small piece and popping it in her mouth. She closed her eyes, content to savor that one piece of chocolate.

Sitting pensively in a chair near Christine's bed, Karina idly flicked her gaze around the room, suddenly wishing that she was back in her home realm too. Lovelylocks was very pretty and it seemed nice and all, but it wasn't home. She missed the city - the way it lit up at night, the way people weren't so uptight, the way it made her feel. She fit there. Everyone fit there. In the city there weren't stupid conventions that you had to follow to be accepted. Everyone could just be who they wanted to be and that was that. But in these realms that were filled with nobles and royals . . . it was suffocating.
A brief smile flitting across her face, Karina remembered that summer was fast approaching - and that meant going home. Pausing suddenly, Karina frowned slightly as a new thought dawned her - one that she hadn't even considered before that very moment. As a 'lady-in-waiting' to Christine, did that mean that she would have to live in Lovelylocks? She had never really gotten around to asking Christine to explain the specifics as to what was expected of her . . . and now she was beginning to dread doing so. While she didn't mind acting as lady-in-waiting for the day and during the ceremony, the idea of having that position permanently didn't sit all that well with her. She simply wasn't cut out to live in this type of world.
Quickly banishing this thought to the recesses of her mind, Karina mentally scolded herself; Christine was clearly a wreck and she ought to be focusing on her. Her own issues could be dealt with later - like when Christine had her peace of mind restored.

Christine picked up the box and offered Karina a piece. "Here, maybe this can tie you over until I'm okay enough for you two to go have a proper dinner," she said softly, life just starting to return to her eyes.

"We can always raid the fridge afterward, there has to be leftovers." Tash said personally she wasn't all that concerned about missing a meal, it wouldn't be the first time; traveling wasn't nearly as glamorous as the musicians made it out to be.

Nodding in agreement, Karina replied with a tiny smile as she bit into the delicious chocolate that Christine had offered her, "Real food can definitely wait; it's not like we're starving or anything."

"I know, but I don't want you two to miss out on the festitivities because I'm being overly emotional," she admitted. "It's not fair to either of you to be stuck here watching over a china doll when you can be out having a fun time."

Reaching over to give Christine's hand a comforting pat, Karina replied, "Don't forget; we're your ladies-in-waiting, Christine; where you go, we go. Besides, Tash and I aren't really the party type, I don't think."

Christine gave Karina a soft smile. "That may be the case, but I don't want you to give up your own lives just to serve me. I want you, you and Tash, to be happy, not miserable."

"What's this china doll you keep referring to? And we're not giving up our own lives just adding to them. Well that's the way I see it, besides with my husband being a child, I have to find someway inform his king that Psi won't be returning for a long while and find a way to end that blasted war. So this is a piece of cake next to that." In some ways she missed being that little nobody but yet this was a whole new set of challenges for her to face.

"What with my rather emotional breakdown, I feel like if you touch me wrong I'll break like a china doll," Christine admitted quietly. She gave Tash an odd smile and an arch of an eyebrow. "And I thought my being in love with a now ex-werewolf was odd."

"How does that saying go, oh... God or which ever Deity you believe in never gives you more then you can handle." Tash said, Chris was probably one of the strongest people she had ever met, it seemed like Chris could bounce back from anything and often did. "We're all allowed to have emotional break downs and screw who ever thinks us females can't be soft once in a while. We have much high pain tolerances then they ever will." Tash had to laugh at the comparison, "I'm beginning to think that my name is next to the word odd in the dictionary."

She laughed softly and gave her two ladies in waiting a faint amused smile. "You know, I would laugh if the curse came back and bit Sky on the ass," she said quietly. "Only, this time, it turns him into a pure wolf. It would serve him right."

"That it would, and he would literally be in the dog house." Tash giggled, that would be amusing if it happened at least in thought anyways.

Karina smiled weakly as the other girls laughed, feeling slightly uncomfortable. While she knew that Christine and Tash were just playing around when they spoke of Sky being hexed, it reminded her again of how she often wondered why magic seemed to cause more hurt than good. With a small sigh, Karina bit her lip. At least she could take comfort in the fact that she wasn't alone in that feeling; she knew that Flora would agree with her in a heartbeat.
