"He rejected me," she said softly. "I'm not right for him - my blood prevents us from ever having a happy ever after," she whispered before breaking down into tears. "I don't know if I have the strength to go on anymore, Tash. I've given him everything..."

"And he's an idiot for not taking what you offered, I know it hurt and it's going to be hard but you are strong enough to do this. I can't even begin to understand what is going through Sky's head but I do know from all the books we have been reading about Muna and Erakylon, they are both a lot more rigid in their rules but Lovelylocks used to be like that before your father fought against the rules and married my aunt. Perhaps he thinks it's not possible to go against tradition and win." Tash said, trying say something that would help but she really was clueless about how most of this worked.

Christine gave Tash and Karina the faintest of smiles. "Thanks, you two, for being so supporting. I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't been here for me..."

"You do what you always do come out kicking." Tash said, she knew that even though it may have taken some time Chris still would have found a way to get over this.

"You know, I shudder to think how our mutual friends are going to react if when they find out what Sky did," she said softly. "Somehow, I think Brandon or Riven will kick his ass."

"Hasn't Riven all but washed his hands of Sky? But I could see Brandon getting a little testy but speaking of kicking ass's. I have a formal request to ask but think you would prefer it if I asked away from every one else." Tash said wanting to get this out of th way, Byron had taken on to many blades to her friends throat and she now had a way to fix that.

"I doubt Riven would turn down a chance to kick Sky's ass," Christine said lightly, faint amusement in her eyes. "As for Brandon, how testy do you think he'd get?"
She sighed softly. "Ask, and I'll try to grant if it is within my power."

"Point taken on Riven and as for how testy he's going to get who know, I don't know Brandon all that well but I do think he is the most sensible of they guys on your team." Tash said as her face went serious. "It's about Byron. Since neither of us want to kill him and banishing is not going to work, I'm asking if I can be the one to gave and execute his punishment for his latest attempt on the queen."

"What do you plan on doing?" she asked softly, looking exhausted.

"I have heard many names for it over the years but the most common one seems to be, 'Rule of three.' What it does is for every wound/ damage he inflicts upon others it will be sent back to him threefold."

A faint glimmer of life sparked in her eyes. "Interesting," she said softly. "Can you give me an example of what could happen?" Perhaps, perhaps this was the best way to get even with Byron without having to shed his blood.

"If he were to take a swing at someone say Sky. How ever hard Byron hit Sky with, that pain would be transfered to his body at three times the strength. And if I change the conditions a little any weapon and person he tells to do something for him the same thing will happen," Tash said her mind running over the spell and what it would take to keep Christine safe from that loon.

Hope flared to life once more in Christine's eyes. "That sounds like it would work," she said softly. "You have my blessing."

"Then in the morning unless you wish it done sooner?" Tash asked, then added "Now that is done with, what's your comfort food of choice? Since we both seemed to be paired off with hopelessly stupid men, comfort food tonight and then tomorrow we show them, well you show him what he's missing." Tash started glad to see a little life coming back to Christine. "And Karina a wonderfully sweet thing like you must have found someone who's not an idiot, moral support?"

"The morning," she said softly. "As for comfort food, I would kill for some chocolate," she admitted. "Any form pretty much. Cake, cookie, ice cream, candy bar..."
