After spending several nonsuccessful hours at Red Fountain - trying to find their library (and even Athena was bothered by the fact that the library was currently missing - she'd vent to Saladin later) - Christine saw that the only other place she could turn to was Alfea.
-
"Dragons, dragons, dresses?" Christine said, running her hand across the books, trying to find something. "Shoddy alphabetizing," she muttered under her breath, slipping the fashion book down several shelves and returning to her search.
"Oh bother, don't these fairies have one decent book on dragons? I mean, "How not to become dragon din-din"? Kay-rye-ist, who writes that dreck," she vented.
She plopped down on the floor. "Heaven help me, none of these books are useful." She bowed her head and sighed, only lifting it when she heard footsteps. "Hello?" she called out. "Someone here?"

Tecna turned the corner, looking around for who was making all the fuss. This was a library, and libraries were supposed to be quiet.
Being asked to keep the library orderly during after-hours wasn't as glamourous a job as, say, updating the various record-keeping systems into a more efficient digitalized compression format or transcribing the audio recording of retired professors' lectures--ooh, how she wanted to do that--maybe it could quailfy as book-keeping...?
But her mind was wandering again, and she was set out to find the troublemaker that was using the sacred sanctuary of study for their private meeting room--but who was that whose posterior was planted on the floor of the creatures reference section?
"Well, of course someone is here, it is only regular working hours." Tecna said in a hush. "If you like, the library is furnished with quite comfortable reading chairs in the commons area. The floor can get rather filthy, and I would hate for those lovely pants of yours to get soiled."

Christine stood up slowly. "Eh. They're just my uniform pants, I'll get them washed later," she said with an idle shrug. "I don't suppose you have any useful books on dealing with dragons or spell breaking? The books on dragons that I saw... well..." She just gave a look that was one of clear disbelief. "How not to become dragon din-din? Was that written in seriousness or just to be a goof?"
"I'm Christine Strongheart, one of the Red Fountain, uh... boys," she said, giving Tecna a weak look. "Our library is who knows where and Saladin said I could come here to look for books on how to fix our problem...."

"You're a Specialist." Tecna repeated, just to make sure she was hearing right. Well, first teacher-student relations are an issue--heck, why not add cross-dressing students to the list?

"Why is it that everyone questions my decision to be a Specialist?" Christine asked no-one in particular. "I have next to no Winx so being a fairy or a witch is rather tense. So, boy's school it is." She hid a wince, her eyes closing tightly as she worked through the headache.
"So, like I asked, any useful books on spellbreaking and dragons?"

Tecna again missed (or involuntarily ignored) the question, and continued her query, fascinated. "You mean they would actually allow girls into Red Fountain?! Fascinating..." She drifted off in thought, "Perhaps I should consider attending there for a post-graduate education, to round-out my studies in disciplines not offered here in Alfea..."

"Uh.. most of the people there... they think I'm a boy..." Christine said with a mild blush. That was more then a bit embarrassing. "Only a select few know I'm female.. That would be Sky's group." She sighed. "And are you purposely ignoring my question about the books?"

"Oh, so you are a delinquent student?" Tecna's tone became suddenly tense and a little condemning. "That would make sense as to why you are so chummy with Sky's lot of friends." She internally growled at the thought that Timmy was keeping this from her. She could have been a help--
--but since obviously the boys didn't WANT her help, though who better than to ask than the smartest person in Alfea--? Well, maybe she wasn't the smartest person, but she was certainly one of them!
Caught up in her own whirlpool of resentment, she found herself automatically jealous that this girl was part of some exclusive "secret society" of gifted girls that could be a Specialist? Tecna had the know-how! She could, too, if she wanted!
How DARE they keep this a secret from her. Who else knew? "Books on dragons?" Repeating the already-stated.

"Delinquent? No!" Christine responded, bristling. Oh, this was turning into a mistake of epic proportions. "And no, I'm not chummy. Riven hates me, Helia doesn't even acknowledge I exist even though we're teammates, Timmy only notices me if I come up with some witty retort and Sky and Brandon treat me like a younger sibling." She made a face at the thought. "And I'm happy being an only child so the thought of siblings. Ew."
"Yes. Dragons. You know, the things that breath fire and fly? We.. have bit of a problem with one over at Red Fountain..." she said, letting her voice trail off for a moment. "Uh.. one got merged with Prince Sky..."

Tecna blinked in disbelief. A grueling pause hung between the two girls for what seemed like an eternity, as the fairy's face remained void of a reaction.

"Uh, right..." Christine said quietly. "It's a long ugly story. Do I have to tell it?" Christine asked, hopeful that she wouldn't have to tell the story. It was not one of the better adventures to come out of Red Fountain.

Walking through the library stacks, looking for a couple of books for Herbology when down one of the isles she saw Chris.
"Oh, perfect. Now I don't have to hunt her down. Now where did I put that book." she muttered to her self as she looked in her bag and started to ruffle though the many books. "Ahh there you are." Pulling out the book she walked up to Chris who was talking to a Purple haired girl.
"Hey Chris, sure is easy to find you. sorry for interrupting your conversation. I will be quick. I think you should try this one out. You may find it interesting." Handing over "The Lost book of Myths." "When you are done with it I would like it back as it is my mothers. This is some selection of Dragons they have, isn't it?" laughing at the books she said " well see you around."

"Uh, thanks," Christine said, blinking a bit, before looking down at the book. Hm, could prove useful. She'd have to read it later. She had her stepfather's book to read - which covered his theories on dragons and whatnot. She mentally shuddered - did they really have to teach Sky how to be a dragon?

Tecna blinked. Now there were two girls she had never seen before. Certainly not another Red Fountain sneak?
"Well, if you are asking for which book to go with, I am afraid that I have not conducted proper research on dragons before..." her voice drifted, "But you said a human was merged with a dragon. That helps a little."
Pulling out her handheld device from home, she flipped it open and a holographic display appeared, "Fortunately I downloaded the complete catalog onto my handheld PC, so even if I don't know the answer, I certainly know how to find it!" Tecna sounded quite accomplished with her keen ability to research, "So, let's go sit down and see if we can unravel this mess, shall we?"
Tecna gave a friendly, though formal, gesture towards one of the study tables near the commons area--one that was in the open, but otherwise abandoned.

Christine nodded. "Sure, multiple heads are better then one," she said. The fact that she had to contact pretty much everyone in her family tree - save her biological father who was missing, but that was neither here nor there - to get an answer was moot at this point. If she was asked what she meant by multiple heads, then she'd say something.
