"As for question one, yes. It should be in the records, Quest for Ommadon's Red Crown. Key players, the four brothers of magic, Princess Melisande, Sir Peter Dickenson, Sir Orin Neville-Smythe, Danielle, Sir Giles of the Treetops, Arak, and the dragons." She leaned back. "As for question two, haven't heard of any cases. But I wouldn't be surprised if there had been and they were just unreported."

"Well, if you already know so much, why do you need my help?" Tecna pushed aside her catalog, "I mean, what are you looking for that you don't already have? It would help narrow the search down."

"Because my knowledge is all one-sided," Christine said. "That and I was never told the entire full story. Just bits and pieces. There's also the fact that... in all reality, my hands are tied." She lowered her eyes to stare at an interesting pattern on the table in front of them. "I.. I have my mother's gift.. and there's a good chance it'll affect me like it affected her..."
Already she could feel the strain, the growing strength of her gift of sight. "And if it does, you can scratch one "hero"," she said, making air quotes around the word hero.

Tecna plainly stared at Chris, "Well, it does me little good if you continue to speak so vaguely. It only makes things move slower. So tell me what you DO know, and we can go from there."

Christine looked down at the table. "My mother is Princess Melisande... She was a seer of sorts. I get bits and bobs of visions but right now... nothing concrete." She glanced up for a moment, and then looked back down. "And, Antiquity states that I can not take part in certain things, I am as bound to its rules as my grandfathers are."
She looked up again. "Ask your questions, and I will answer them the best I can."

"Well first, the entire story of how your family began fraternizing with dragons is an order. So why not start there?"

"Well, as far as I know, my family always has had dragons. It was the seven hundred and seventy seventh ancestor of my step father that tamed the dragons and taught them to speak. Each of my grandfathers has one. Carolinus had Smrgol, but Smrgol died before I was born. His heart gave out while fighting an ogre. Lo Tae Zhao has Shen Zhisu. Solarius has Lunarian. And... Ommadon," she paused, a small look of fear etched on her face at the mention of the fourth brother, "the red wizard... He has Breog." Again, there was a look of fear at the mention of the last dragon.
She rubbed her hands. "My uncle, Gorbash, is also Carolinus's. But he was given to my mother as a present when both she and he were children. My uncle, Sir Orin Neville Smythe, rescued Gorbash from Breog. In fact, Gorbash's name came from that battle. It was rather gory, and he was bashed around. Gory, bash, gorbash." She gave a weak smile.
"As for my grandfathers... Carolinus is the green wizard, master of nature's realm. Solarius is the blue wizard, lord of the depths, and the heights, his realm is outer space, deepest ocean, highest mountain. Lo Tae Zhao is the golden wizard, his realm is light and air, he is lord of transcendence, healing, contemplation. You'd probably get along with him - logic is quite a selling point with him. Then there's Ommadon. The last brother. The Red Wizard. Lord of the devils domain, seducer of darkness, master of that heartless magic the world calls black. Astride Bryaugh, he is absolute ruler of that infernal like mass of primordial filth, which is his domain."
She paused, and tried to fight down the overwhelming sense of fear. "He was supposed to have died long before I was born - but if his dragon is back then chances are he's back as well."

Tecna let out a forlorn sigh. Was having a history laden with baggage a pre-requisite for attending one of the schools in Magix? Maybe she was the only one from a relatively normal family, but it felt to her that everyone and their dog had some sort of deep dark secret that was to haunt them to their dying days.
"Okay, okay..." Tecna rubbed her temples, as though to push the frustration into the nether corners of her finite brain. "So basically even when we do get Sky back to normal, that is actually the least of our worries."

Christine gave a weak smile. "Possibly. You'll have to forgive me. As a small child, my parents would often use "if you don't behave Breog and Ommadon will get you" as a way to get me to behave. Unfortunately, it did some traumatizing."
Christine looked over her shoulder and then back at Tecna. "Any more questions?"

Tecna was beginning to think dealing with the Trix sisters was better than this. At least then she could have someone to get mad at.
Looking at Christine, it was impossible to get mad at her. She was not only a helpless tortured young lady, but she was living a life full of deceit and subterfuge.
She had to help somehow. Surely the other girls would help out once they heard that Sky was involved.
...at least...Tecna had a sinking feeling as she recalled how much the rest of the girls wanted to castrate the prince...at least she hoped they would want to help...

"Judging by the look on your face, Sky's not too popular with the Alfea girls?" Christine asked in all innocence. She really didn't know the prince that well so certain things escaped her. Like relationships and what not.

"With a few. But you know how girlfriends can be." Not that Tecna counted herself as one of them really, but some of the Winx Club girls wouldn't even have Sky's side of the story. Bloom got mad, therefore Sky was scum, no questions asked. "But that's really not important, now, is it?"
Of course she was right.

Christine nodded in agreement to the whole it's not being important. "Personally, relationships confuse me," Christine admitted. "Besides, given my half-breed status, not many people are interested in me anyway. So the whole concept of being someone's girlfriend escapes me."

Another commonality. Tecna was beginning to like this girl more and more. "Then let's list our goals, shall we?"

Christine nodded. "Chief priority is getting Sky fixed," she said, having forgotten one of the other usages for the phrase fixed. "Then any sub priorities would be dealing with whatever comes up afterwards."
