"Tash is right," Karina said, nodding in agreement. "Sky has no reason to be here, so," at this she took a second look at the guy, "it's probably just someone who looks kind of like him from a distance."
Lapsing into silence as she stared out at the water, Karina furrowed her brow as she began to feel slightly concerned that Christine seemed to only be able to talk about Sky - it just didn't seem healthy. After the mess at the coronation ceremony, Karina had thought that Sky would be the last thing that Christine would want to discuss or think about, and yet, here she was, clearly preoccupied with thoughts of him. Resting her chin on her hand, Karina bit her lip. But perhaps that was just it - Christine loved Sky so much that he was all she could think about. Shaking her head, Karina sighed. Love. Boys. Relationships. Those were things she just couldn't understand for the life of her - which was why she certainly wasn't going to be the one to call Christine out on the fact that she seemed a little too focused on Sky for her own good.

"Yes, you're right. I guess I'm over thinking," she said, leaning back. "I guess I'm a bit too devoted for my own good or something. Any ideas on how to get over Sky?"

"Find yourself a new guy?" Karina offered with a smile as she brushed her bangs out of her eyes. "And a better one at that."

Christine gave Karina a soft smile. "All right, I'll try." Even if the two knew she wouldn't, that she was serious about Sky, even if he wasn't serious about her. She'd gladly walk through fire if she had to prove what she felt.
"So," she started, looking at the two girls. "What kind of guy do you think would work for me?" she asked quietly.

Tapping her chin as she thought for a moment, Karina finally replied with a soft laugh, wanting to keep the mood light, "Well, you know what they say - you can't go wrong with tall, dark, and handsome."

"Hmm.. sounds like a combo that has distinct possibilities," she said quietly. "Of course, I'll have to find someone who doesn't go to Red Fountain. Last thing I need is Sky going Alpha on whoever I date. He may be cured from his curse, but he still acts like a bloody alpha wolf. Honestly, who cares if my skirt on my dress at work is about an inch too short."

Karina smiled before she replied curiously, "So where will you find your new beau if not at Red Fountain? I'm assuming not on Earth - that just seems super complicated, if you ask me." Quickly, she elaborated, "You know, because of the fact that most of the people here don't believe in magic and since we kind of live in 'magical realms' that seems like it would cause quite a few problems."

"I could always pick someone from one of my two home realms," she said. She shrugged. "I just know that if I take a beau from Red Fountain, Sky's going to go nuts on the poor man." She shook her head slightly. "He's a bit, ah, protective?"

Knowing that Christine was probably right about Sky's potential reaction, Karina shook her head, baffled by the stupidity of the double standard; while Christine couldn't date anyone else without having to risk a freak-out by Sky, Sky could do whatever he pleased with whoever he wanted.
Glancing surreptitiously out of the corner of her eye at Christine, Karina bit her lip, wondering if her friend knew that Sky had already seemingly moved on. Word on the street was that he had been spotted on several occasions at The Java House with Alice . . . and since Alice was one of her closest friends, Karina knew that the gossip was true - well, semi-true. According to Alice, she and Sky weren't dating, but Karina knew that when Alice was into a guy, it was only a matter of time before he was into her as well.

Christine opened the bag and snitched a cockle and popped it into her mouth, savoring the taste of the candy. She glanced at some of the boys. "Oooh, la la," she said, glancing at one gentlemen. "Take a look at the body on that one," she said, pointing out the boy to Karina.

Christine sighed and watched the males. It didn't hurt to look - besides, it wasn't like Sky would ever find out. Unless he did because she had forgotten to hide her tickets for the trip... Damn, now that she thought about it, she hadn't hid them and had left them out where Sky and Brandon could have seen it. Oi. Hopefully they wouldn't come.

Still not entirely comfortable with checking out the guys, mostly out of fear of being caught - she didn't think she could stand that kind of embarrassment - Karina turned her attention to the water before she asked, "So when should we get in?" OOC: I love Karina's bathing suit

Christine tilted her head as she thought, the sun hitting her colored streaks, making them glitter in the light. "I suppose we could head in now if you want," she said softly. "It doesn't look that crowded."
