"Point, but you know Sky. He'd find a way to find out," she pointed out. "He's anal. And he's overprotective."

"And I'm stubborn. Let him try." Tash giggled, that would be quite the battle of wills if it were to ever happen. "He's not going to see that thing you call a bathing suit from me."

Christine colored. "And what's that supposed to mean?" she asked, sounding a little defensive about her bathing suit.

"My bathing suits have always been a pair of shorts and what ever shirt I was wearing, next to that none of these bikini things have much fabric."

"Okay, I admit, it's a small bathing suit," she said quietly. "But it's not like Sky's ever going to see it. Besides, he has no control over what I wear."

"Hey Chris, why are you so hung up on what Sky thinks? He's not here and your right he has no say in what you want to wear. But enough about them boys, let's forget about them for now."

"Because we've been linked together for so long it's hard not to think that way," she admitted. "Besides, he's my team's leader and all." She flipped on the radio and glanced at the person next to her. "Well, go ahead, channel surf."

Tash left Karina to the channel surf what ever that meant. The only surfing she knew anything about was on a board out in a large puddle of water. Tash was pretty sure that the reason Chris was so defensive is that she had spent so much of the last year dressing down so the boys wouldn't get any ideas that this was a little embarrassing.

Reaching forward to turn the radio dial, Karina listened briefly to a few stations before she settled on one that was playing an upbeat tune. Satisfied with her selection, she absently turned her attention back to the conversation Tash and Chris were having about Sky. Inwardly wincing at the name, Karina mentally shook her head. Truthfully, she didn't know what to think about him. From the way Christine had broken down after talking to him during her coronation, he seemed like a monster - or at least a serious jerk. But from the way Alice spoke of him, he seemed like the kind of charming prince one would find in a fairytale. Then again, Christine had often leapt to Sky's defense . . . so perhaps he wasn't all bad - although, she did secretly wish that he would stay out of her friends' lives. Honestly, he did seem to cause more trouble than he was worth. He had already broken Christine's heart and it was only a matter of time before he did the same to Alice's. Sighing, Karina finally pushed aside her thoughts and turned her attention to the pretty scenery that they were passing by.

"So what do you think of my home away from home away from home," she said with a laugh. She pointed at the buildings as they drove by. "I just love the old buildings. Some of the best shops are hiding in there."

"It's truly beautiful," Karina replied, awe clearly evident in her voice. Shooting Christine a smile, she added, "If I wasn't already so fond of my home realm, I think this would be my choice of place to live. It has so much character and personality, you know?"

"I know," she said with a smile. "I love spending time on Earth. I don't have to be a princess or a specialist, I can just be myself." She spotted a spot and parked the car in it. "Shall we get something to eat while we're on the beach?"

Digging through her bag of beach supplies, which consisted of a pink bathing suit, towels, sarong, and magazines, Karina laughed as she said, "Probably. Even though I crammed so much stuff into this tote bag, I completely forgot about food."

"Hm... we could try one of the little shops," she said, smiling. "Food tends to be good. Although, some are a bit unhealthy," she admitted. "One of the things we have is a deep fried Mars bar. It's a candy bar dipped in a batter that we use to fry fish and then it's dropped into a fryer. It's good but unhealthy." She lead the pair into a small shop. She walked over to a fridge and grabbed a few bottles of Irn-Bru. "Heaven," she purred quietly. "Pick what you wanted," she said. "I'll pay. And I insist." Looking at the unfamiliar foods, Karina bit her lip as she tried to decide what looked best. Unable to make a decision as everything seemed delicious, Karina turned helplessly to Christine as she said, "Perhaps you ought to decide."
