 May had been standing to the side, as a good little servant should, but when talked to she walked forward. Eyes wide she stared at the dress closer now. "My lady, it is the most beautiful dress I have ever seen. Nothing the late Lady Williams wore even compares to it, not even her own wedding dress" |

Well that had not been what she had been expecting for an answer, even more elaborate then the previous High Lady's wedding dress. Any lingering thought she had had about any part of this wedding not being ridiculously over done were quickly destroyed with that little statement. "It is a beautiful dress," Tash agreed looking down at the dress. Catching the look of pride on Lilla's face before Lilla could hide it Tash had to smile. "I'm sure that as Lady of this household there are a million things I am going to have to learn, would you be able to tell me anything about such duties?" Tash asked deciding to kill the time she was standing here with something useful.

may looked up at her rather innocently. "The duties of the Mistress of the house are rather great. As Mistress your first duty is to the Master of the House. You should respect his word as final and support him in all he does. You should endeavor to enhance the position and good name of your family, and with the assistance of your housekeeper run an ordered and happy household." May said, fiddling with her dress. "Miss Medlock is the Housekeeper, has been since before I was born" As she cast her eyes down for a moment she looked back up. "As your Lady's Maid, I am to help you with what ever you may need, including dressing, and fixing of your hair. As Mistress of the house, you must always look your best. The late Lady Williams had to change her dress near 6 times a day." |

"Six?" Tash squeaked unable to keep the look of horror off her face. She had grown up with two dresses in total and now she was supposed to change her dresses up to six times a day?

May nodded, looking at her mistress. "But most of them aren't as elaborate the your court dresses. Even your dinner dresses won't be too bad!" She tired to make it not sound so bad. |

Psi sat in his study, writing a few things on random papers. Muttering a few things to himself every now and then. If he was to set his plans into motion, he would have to get rid of a few people, and a few 'things' Being the High Lord, Psi had no real work to do, just be there when the King called him, order a few people in villiages, or the lands he owned outside the city around. Soon he sat back in his chair, wondering when his tea would be brought, and wondering what Tash was doing.

Edgar knocked on the door to his lord's study before pushing the door open. "Your tea Sir." Edgar announced as he set the tray before Psi. "and Welcome home."

"May, I have never seen the court dresses..." Tash said before pausing, "Wait that's not true, I have the faintest memories of what they are like. I've only ever wore a skirt and a tunic. They all seem elaborate next to that. I guess it will just take some adjusting on my part." Tash said with a rueful smile.

Psi sat back up and looked over at his butler. "And it is good to be home. You've done a impeccable job keeping the manor in order in my absence, and your work on Tash's chambers." Psi smiled as he poured two cups of tea, offering one to Edgar as he picked up his own. He frequently offered the older man a chance to sit and relax during tea time.

Psi took a sip of the tea. "Afraid to say as soon as she stepped in, she was wisked away for her fitting, Then the planners are going to tear her apart with their plans. I do beleive she will be rather mad at me come dinner tonight" Psi smiled slightly.

"Your leaving her to the vultures; alone and on her first day here? You Rascal, I rather hope she's annoyed at you this evening." Edgar affectionately told his young Lord. It would do Psi a world of good to have someone who would stand up to him on occasion.

"We are expected to be at court tonight, The other ladies are going to tear her to shreds worse than the planners. I am hoping it will get her ready for it" Psi said, putting down his empty cup.

That sobered the older man. "I'm afraid that your right they tend destroy anything in their way including each other. Now as you are knowingly sending her into a the snake pit without any warning just what are you going to do to make it up to her? I have never known you to be smitten over a girl and somehow this gypsy has stolen your heart." Edgar frankly stated, he had been with this family since before Psi's father became Lord and Edgar would serve them willingly until the day he died.

Psi was grinning at that, pouring himself more tea. "I'm not quite sure how she managed that either. But she has." As he rose the cup he lowered it again. "As for how will I make it up to her... I'm not too sure, I do hope though, that she likes jewelry" He smiled slightly, thinking about the rather huge walk in closet just filled with jewels and jewelry collected over the many many many years.
