Flora sipped her seventh cup of coffee in an hour, her green eyes still glassy from sleep. "Stella, I don't think the Professor is even out of bed yet. I mean, I don't think he has any morning classes today so he's probably taking advantage of the rare chance to sleep in."
She lowered her cup to the saucer resting precariously on her lap and tucked her honey blond bangs behind her ears. Her long brown hair was pulled into a loose braid - a small change of pace for the nature fairy, but she had decided to play with potions later since today was her day off from classes - a rare occurrence - and it never hurt to practice her potion technique.
She picked up her cup and sipped it again, watching the two hybrids explore the classroom. "So, how much trouble do you think those two are going to get into if the professor walks in and sees them playing with things...?"

Angelique watched as her boyfriend explored the classroom before examining several of the potions that were in progress. She tilted her head and poked one of the vials. Seeing that nothing happened, she was about ready to poke another one when a male's shadow appeared in the doorway.
Her blue eyes widened and she bolted to Brandon's side and hid behind him.

"So, how much trouble do you think those two are going to get into if the professor walks in and sees them playing with things...?" Watching Angelique and Brandon, Stella chirped as she smoothed her hair down over her shoulder, "Well, considering that the professor has a perpetual stick up his you know what, I'm guessing a lot." Despite her light-hearted response and sunny tone, Stella's stomach was inwardly turning. After learning that Angelique's boyfriend's name was Brandon the night before, it was the only thing she could think of. Though the others had seemed to brush it aside as a mere coincidence, she knew better. Angelique's Brandon was just too much like her Brandon - despite the obvious differences in appearance. The way he acted, the way he treated all the females with respect and kindness . . . it was her Brandon all the way. She just knew it. And when this was all said and done, she'd be proven right - not crazy. As her thoughts jumped to what would happen after Brandon was returned to his normal human state, Stella felt a moment of sickening doubt. She had been trying to push that one thought to the farthest recesses of her mind, but it kept pushing itself forth, eating away at her until she couldn't deny its presence anymore. That thought was the classic "What if?" What if Brandon, with his memories fully restored, suddenly doubted his relationship with her? What if he had developed more than just a friendship with Angelique? Would he still have those feelings for that girl once he remembered the love he already had for her - his girlfriend and love of his life for almost two years? Not able to face answering those questions, Stella crossed her arms over her chest and turned her attention back to Brandon and Angelique, a pained look momentarily darting across her face before she quickly hid it behind an upbeat smile.

Angelique's voice trembled as she looked up at Brandon. "That's not the doctor, is it?" she mewled. Last thing she wanted to see was the doctor - she didn't want to go back there. And she didn't want to see what would happen to Brandon if the doctor got his hands on him.

Flora leaned over and squeezed Stella's hand reassuringly. "Hey, everything will be okay," she said quietly. "We'll get things fixed and back to the way they should be." She glanced over at the couple when she heard Angelique mewl in distress. "I'm assuming that the doctor in question is not one they want to see..?"

Brandon put himself between Angel and the door, sniffing he quickly learned that this man wasn't the good doctor. "No Angel, he's not. This one smells like he rolled in a field of flowers, nothing about him is like the doctor." Brandon reassured Angel, watching as the man entered further into the room.

Angelique visibly relaxed when Brandon reassured her that this wasn't the good doctor. "Thank heaven.. thank heaven," she breathed. She curled up closer and looked at the man who had entered the room. "Do you think he can help us?"

"I hope so Angel, I hope so." Brandon said, absently stroking her her back as she snuggled closer.

Entering the room, Palladium started when he saw that he had visitors. His brow immediately furrowing, he glanced down at his wrist-watch as he said in a surprised tone, at first only noticing Stella and Flora, "Girls, is there something I can help you with?"

Angelique gave a small meow to catch his attention. "Well, that's what we're hoping," she said, her voice still quivering a bit. She slipped free of Brandon's embrace. "I'm Angelique Deveraux and that's Brandon," she said softly, trying to be brave.

At the sight of Angelique and Brandon - both of whom were clearly some sort of strange hybrid creatures - Palladium sighed, already feeling the onset of a massive headache. Somehow he knew what was coming next. He knew that in the next moment one of the four of them would plead with him to find a way to reverse whatever it was that had happened and because he was a teacher, he was obligated to help them.
Walking briskly over to his desk, Palladium set his briefcase down, stalling for time as he tried to collect his thoughts. Truthfully, he was quite fed up with the way things were lately. It seemed as if every other day he had something like this to deal with and though he wished that he could always help his students and their friends - and though he knew that that was what he was supposed to do - he wasn't entirely sure how much more he could take. It took more out of him to do things like reverse curses than he let on and when it came down to it, that wasn't why he had come to Alfea to teach. He had come because he wanted to share his knowledge of subjects such as the healing properties of certain plants or the proper techniques by which one could create usable potions; no, he certainly had not come to deal with this kind of stress.
Still . . . he couldn't just send them away. Not when their expectant faces were staring right at him. But this would be the last time, Palladium mentally insisted. After this . . . after this, perhaps he would use up some of that vacation time of his. Perhaps he would convince Cora to go on a traveling excursion with him or perhaps he would simply go back to Athryell and enjoy a bit of peace and quiet - something he was severely lacking here at Alfea.
Realizing with a start that he had allowed his thoughts to drift, Palladium turned back to Angelique as he said kindly, "What is it exactly that you need?"

"We were hoping that you could tell us if magic could undo what science has done," Angelique said softly. "Brandon and I were in Lost Souls... We hope that if we can get back to normal, then we can live the lives that were taken from us..." She lowered her eyes. "I'd like to find my parents again..."

Flora bit her lower lip and waited to see what the professor would say - hopefully, hopefully there was a way to help the pair. And if that Brandon was really Stella's Brandon.... well, hopefully things would be able to be put right...

Frowning slightly, Palladium rested lightly against his desk as he said, "I am afraid I do not know for certain if I can help you; all I can offer is that I will try my best."

"That's all we could hope for, Professor," Flora said, smiling softly at him. She'd wait until after this whole mess was done with before she asked premission to "play" with the potions - she was dying to work with some of those flowers he had told her about. The pavonia multiflora had her still very intrigued and she was quite eager to see what the results from experimenting on it would be - after all, as a Linphean, she did have a bit of an advantage in the fact that she could hear the Voice of Nature and that would let her know if she was wandering into dangerous ground.
