OOC: I figured it was about time for some Bloom/Sky fluff XD
Wrapping an arm around Bloom's slender waist, Sky tugged her closer against him as he leaned down to whisper teasingly in her ear, his voice slightly muffled as his lips brushed against the red hair he adored, "So, tell me, did I do good?"
But even though his tone was light, Sky couldn't help but feel a swarm of nervous butterflies rise up in his stomach. Bloom was someone special, maybe even the one, and she meant the world to him. And because of that fact, he just wanted to treat her the way she deserved to be treated. She deserved the best and even though he still didn't fully understand what someone as fantastic as her could see in him, he wasn't going to complain. All he knew was that he was one lucky fellow and that any guy would kill to be in his shoes. Would go nuts over the chance to take her out to dinner, to have her on his arm. Which was why that was exactly what Sky did.
He had to admit, he did feel pretty proud of himself for coming up with his plan to treat Bloom to a night of romance. He had noticed that she seemed to be stressed out with her classes as of late and had figured that she was in desperate need of some relaxation. And nothing said relaxation like a quiet night at their favorite restaurant. At least, that was what he thought - what he hoped Bloom thought too. She had seemed to enjoy herself during dinner, but it was his experience that girls were tricky to read.
And so, Sky waited in nervous anticipation for her answer, the fingers to his free hand crossed behind his back for luck.

At the risk of sounding cheesy, the night had been nothing short of magical. It may have seemed like just a dinner date to anyone else, but to Bloom it was so much more. This had been exactly what she needed exactly when she needed it. It was amazing how Sky could read her so well.
School had been beyond stressful lately. Even though there weren’t enough halves, it seemed like every exam was worth have of their class marks. Not only that, but there seemed to be one every week! Well, it felt that way, at least. Earth school had never been this difficult. She had tried to remain upbeat and pretend it was no big deal and that it wasn’t getting to her at all, but the fact that Sky picked up on it and stole her away for the night made the evening mean that much more.
Now, with his arm so tight around her and his breath in her ear, Bloom had a hard time remembering what she had been so stressed out about.
“Good? Well, I guess you could say that,” she replied, trying to hide her smile.

Watching as the corners of Bloom's mouth curled upward, Sky grinned as his nerves instantly vanished. It was amazing really how much of his own mood was based around Bloom's. When she was happy, he couldn't be happier - but he knew that if she had frowned instead of smiling that little smile of hers that he loved, the evening would have been ruined.
But he wouldn't think of that because she had smiled and he had done good.
Not wanting dinner to have been the peak of the night, though, Sky thought for a moment before he smiled inwardly. Right now, the thought of leaving her company to return to Red Fountain was especially loathsome but fortunately, he could push it to the farthest recesses of his mind - at least for another hour or so. Because he had a plan. Part two of their night of romance, if you will.
It was getting kind of dark, but that was perfect. Because if there was one thing Sky had learned from watching all of those movies Bloom loved, there were few things more romantic than candlelight dinners (part one of their evening) and going for walks in the park. Especially at night when the lamp posts would be shining brightly - even though he wouldn't dare say it out loud lest he be ridiculed by the other Red Fountain boys, there was just something about that kind of setting that was borderline magical. And he just knew that Bloom would love it.
Guiding Bloom along the sidewalk until they finally approached a wrought-iron fence, Sky swung the door open and then said with a winsome smile, "After you." Following her into the park, Sky turned his back to her for a moment as he shut the door behind them and said, "I think you'll like this part of the evening."
Returning to her side, Sky entwined his fingers with hers as he asked with a warm smile, "What do you think, Bloom? Up for a walk in the park? Just you and me?"

She wasn’t fooling him for a moment. There was no way she could hide her sheer bliss at the events of the evening thus far. She was just way too happy.
Since the moment she’d first met Sky, the day she first found out she was a magical being, her heart had been his. If she wasn’t a believer in love at first sight before, she sure as heck was now. They had been through so much that would have torn any normal couple apart, but they had made it through. They were still together, and each day only seemed to prove what Bloom believed: they were meant to be.
Raising her brows in a look of surprise when they reached their next destination, she stepped through the gate. While Sky closed it behind them, she took a moment to gaze around them, awed at how the carefully laid out lighting illuminated the area with just the perfect amount of light. Feeling his fingers slip into hers, she turned to face him, her eyes positively dancing.
“Gee, let me think...” she said, a bright smile lighting up her features. “Of course!”

Grinning at Bloom's enthusiastic reaction, Sky nodded his head slowly as he remarked, "Well, that's good news to hear; and trust me, we'll have plenty of time to walk as much as we please, but first..."
Emboldened by the privacy the vast amount of foliage provided them, Sky slipped one arm around Bloom's waist to draw her closer and then, with his free hand, tilted her face up slightly. Simply staring down into her blue-green eyes for a moment, Sky then said quietly as he smoothed a lock of her hair away from her temple, "You're a beautiful person, you know that, Bloom? On the inside and the outside." Bending his head, Sky brushed his lips softly against hers before he said with a low, rumbling chuckle, "I'm one lucky guy, that's for sure."

Being so close to him, with him looking so deeply into her eyes, Bloom thought her heart would stop beating if it wasn’t beating so fast. Her cheeks heating up due to his words, her eyes involuntarily fluttered closed at the brush of his lips to hers. Smiling again, she let out a bit of an anxious giggle.
“I think we’re both pretty lucky,” she replied, sliding her arms around his neck. “It’s like I fell into one of those fairytales my mom used to read to me. My very own Prince Charming.”
And I am the Princess of Lame.
A little embarrassed to have said something so very lame after his words had been so sweet, she quickly cut off his reply by pressing her lips to his.

As Bloom wrapped her arms around his neck, Sky felt his grin widen even more than he thought possible. He probably looked incredibly stupid and goofy just standing there beaming down at her, but Bloom didn't seem to mind, a fact which warmed his heart even more and made her all the more endearing to him.
Beginning to open his mouth to reply to Bloom's very flattering comment about his being her Prince Charming, Sky found himself cut off by the press of her lips against his. Slightly startled by her sudden leap of initiative, Sky then brushed it aside as he pulled her even closer against him in order to deepen the kiss.
It was easily the most pleasant sensation he had ever experienced.

Forget her heart; this time she was sure she would stop breathing. If she was to suddenly drop dead right on the spot, she would die the happiest she could ever remember being.
Finally breaking the kiss, she didn’t pull away any further than she had to to see his face. Blinking a few times, she looked up at him with a dazed smile.
“Wow...” she said, her voice barely louder than a breath.

Pretty speechless himself, Sky nodded slowly in agreement as he exhaled deeply. "Yeah, I think 'wow,' about sums that up," he finally managed to say after a few moments, a shaky smile playing across his lips as he stared down at Bloom.
And even though the kiss was amazing, what blew Sky away even more was the knowledge that what he felt for Bloom ran deeper than just mere physical attraction. That the reason why the kiss was so good was because of the fact that he loved more about her than just her pretty face. And when it came down to it, the kiss carried it in something special, something only they could ever experience. Because in the kiss was everything they had gone through together and that made it infinitely more special than the kisses normal couples their age shared - the couples that didn't really care about each, didn't see a future for themselves, the ones that only wanted a mindless fling. He and Bloom weren't like that and that pleased him more than he knew how to express.

For a long moment they just stared at each other, both smiling oddly, before Bloom broke the moment with a sudden laugh.
“We’re such dorks!” she giggled, resting her forehead against his chest. Seriously, what other people their age got all speechless and awkward after a kiss? An amazing kiss, but so many others had done way more than that... and that was a train of thought that Bloom was not going to catch.
But this was different. It was... special. It wasn’t just a kiss. It was so much more than that.

At the sound of Bloom's merry laugh, Sky's lips quivered for a moment before he too erupted into a fit of laughter, his head thrown back and his shoulders shaking. As the moment passed, Sky smiled as he wiped at the slight tears of mirth that had formed in his eyes before he replied, "Yeah, total dorks. But hey, that's why we're such a good match, right?"
Giving a brief sigh of contentment, Sky tucked Bloom's arm into the crook of his as he finally began to guide her along the well-paved path. Quiet as he just enjoyed the feel of being close to her, Sky then tilted his head back to look up at the night sky overhead. At the sight of something akin to black velvet greeting his blue eyes, Sky gave Bloom's shoulder a slight nudge as he pointed upward. "Look at that," he remarked, "a shooting star. Isn't that an Earth thing? You know, to make a wish when you see one?" Smiling down at her, he whispered, "If you're going to make one, you better do it quick before it disappears."

Nodding silently in agreement, Bloom reluctantly left Sky’s arms and allowed him to lead them along on their walk. Everything about this night was perfect. The food, the weather, the smell in the air... it was like the night was made for them.
Stopping when Sky suddenly nudged her, she looked upwards into the star filled sky.
“So you were paying attention,” she teased. It was really amazing just how much of her Earth quirks and traditions he picked up and remembered with just the slightest mention. He was really amazing. “You better make one too.”
Following the star with her eyes, she thought of the only possible thing she could want at this moment.
She wished that this night, and that the two of them, would last forever.

"All right then," Sky replied smilingly as he briefly returned his gaze to the shooting star. "Good thing I think I know the perfect wish to make."
Watching Bloom surreptitiously out of the corner of his eye, Sky felt his heart tug at the sight of her upturned face gazing eagerly up into the dark. Momentarily, he wondered what her wish would be before he smiled again. They tended to think alike and chances were, her wish would be the same one as his - a thought which moved him deeply. They were two of a kind. Meant to be.
I wish that this night, that Bloom and I, last forever. And if this night can't last forever, then I wish that we have hundreds more nights just like this one.
As the star finally faded from sight, Sky glanced down at Bloom as he asked, "So what do you think? Your wish gonna come true?" At the feel of a slight breeze picking up, Sky immediately shrugged out of his jacket and wrapped it around Bloom's shoulders before pressing a light kiss to her temple.

Once the star had vanished from sight, Bloom closed her eyes as if to seal the deal and make it come true. Opening her eyes again, she wasn’t surprised to find Sky watching her.
“Part of it might be impossible, but the rest? Totally a given,” she said, smiling warmly as Sky placed his coat on her shoulders. It could have just been his royal upbringing, but Bloom didn’t think so. Even if he had turned out to be the squire, she was sure he would still be a gentleman.
Brushing her fingers lightly over her temple where his lips had just been, she tucked a few strands of hair behind her ear. “How about yours?”

A faint smile playing at the corners of his mouth, Sky replied, amusement clear in his voice, "About the same as yours, actually. I wished for something I know, as Tecna would say, logically can't come true - but the second part of my wish," at this Sky grinned, "is, as in your own words, totally a given."
As the wind continued to pick up, Sky shot Bloom a worried look. "You aren't too cold, are you?" he asked, his voice carrying traces of regret. The last thing he wanted was to have to bring this perfect night to an impromptu close because of the stupid, uncooperative weather.
