OOC: obviously, not the show's one XD I'm in no mood to recreate that. Just, our version, with Layla included It's this year's, but I was lazy and didn't know exactly when it fell. And up to the next person to decide if Chris is a "boy" or girl Chris smoothed her clothing for the hundredth time that half hour, her nerves on edge. It was the Day of the Rose - a lovely little holiday, if you liked roses - lots of roses. She sighed and picked up one of the dropped roses and just held it, staring at it. She was tempted to pin into her hair but... Nah, she'd just hold it for now. She breathed a small sigh, content to smell the heavenly smell of the roses. OOC: multiperson tag

OCC: We can get more people going on this thread if your female so I choose female. Anyhoo.....
Tash had been absent mindedly twisting some of the many roses together ,it gave her something to do as she wandered through the crowds looking for anyone she knew other then her brother. Kaelin was up to his usually tricks and Tash didn't want anything to do with him for the moment. Spotting Christine, Tash made her way over to the other girl and draped the now completed ring of flowers on her head. "They suit you better and I bite, why are you here when you could be with your family?" Tash asked standing behind her friend.

Christine glanced over at Tash, giving her a pained but wry smile. "My father, Prince Strongheart, is off on some trade agreement so I can't visit with him. I'm in no mood to deal with my mother right now since she's convinced I need to have some training to be a better princess. And my stepfather is in midst of a convention for school, so, here I am. You?"

"My mother is using today for a quick trip to Memorica, she's after more Ginkgo. Never knew my father and Kaelin is being more then a little aggravating." Tash returned, "And if you get much more Princess like I'm not going to know what to do with you. I much rather listen to you talk about Dragon wrangling then what ever princesses tend to talk about."

"Perish the thought that my conversations dwindle down to the latest fashion and all that fluffy gossip fodder," Christine shuddered. "I'd kill myself first." She shook her head slightly. "So, what shall we do with ourselves? Besides, you know, drive our menfolk crazy by joining the races?" She laughed. "Can you see Sky's face if I did that?"

"Yep I can see his face and it would so be worth it. You could probably beat Sky but Riven will be a tough contender, want to race?" Tash asked with a giggle. "I'm not as good as you by a long shot but I'll join with you." Tash offered.

"No, I just threw the idea out for the hell of it. Of course I want to race," Christine said with a laugh. "Thank goodness I went with this lovely pants suit instead of the dress someone had picked out for me. I like dresses and all, but I hate baby doll dresses. So not me."

Glancing down at her own attire, the ragged cut offs where no where near high fashion. Tash grinned, "I have faint idea as to what a dress is but what is a baby doll dress? So do we let the boyo's know it's us before the race or leave them in the dark until you win?"

"One of those ultra feminine dresses," Christine said, wrinkling her nose. "Probably something Stella would wear." She tilted her head slightly. "Leave them in the dark, natch."

"One of those dresses with less fabric then a pillow case?" Tash remarked shaking her head. "Sounds good let's go register then."

"Pretty much," Christine responded, laughing. "It's," she paused, searching for the word. "Coutre, I think." She shrugged. "And let's. Oh, the boys won't know what hit them."

"They never know what hit them until after the events anyways." Tash remarked as they made their way over to the registration table. Scanning the list before her, "They have all signed up, we can sign up and not have to worry about them knowing we are racing before it starts." Tash commented as she wrote her own name down and handed the pen over.

Christine bent down and wrote in a loose flowy style her name. Christine M. Strongheart She glanced over at Tash. "So, shall we go change out of our good clothes and into our riding clothing? I don't know about you - but i don't want to ruin this blouse. Was a present from the boys."

"I wouldn't call these good clothing, but then I don't wear anything that can't get dirty or be destroyed. But we better change there is only so much that the boyo's will be able to handle and this way they won't know it's us right away."

Christine nodded and followed Tash off to go change into clothing that they really didn't care about. "Tash, do you think that we have a chance of beating Riven?"
