Musa knocked on Palladium's door. She was going to explain him what she kind of heard due to her special hearing.
Maybe he knew a bit about what happened to Sky, if something happened to Sky? Maybe he became evil like Flora? Or, Musa thought, with a bit of hope, it was just another rumor?
She searched for Tune with her eyes. Where the pixie would be? And waited for the door to open, if he was in there.

Tune popped up behind one of Musa's pigtails. "Let's hope he's in," Tune said. "Although, it would be rude of him not to be. After all, school is still in session and I'm sure there are students who would need him to advise them on the topics covered in his class. And if he isn't in, then he should have left a note clearly indicating that he would be out of the office and state the time he intends on returning."

Hearing the knock at his door, Palladium frowned, mildly irritated at having his thoughts concerning the events of the Valentine's Day dance interrupted. Giving a frustrated sigh, Palladium rose from his seat at his desk and walked to the door. Opening it, he immediately came face to face with Musa and Tune. Inwardly he groaned; if his suspicions were correct, they weren't just here to say hello - they had a mission. They wanted answers. Answers that he wouldn't be able to give them.
Nevertheless, Palladium greeted them with a slight incline of his head as he stepped aside to let them in. "Hello, Musa, Tune. How are you two?"

"Frazzled, you?" Tune responded. "Being kept in a cage by the Trix and then finding out that two of my friends are now with Darkar and finding three sick pixies tends to make one get frazzled."

Not wanting to convey his increasing concerns about Darkar to the pair before him, Palladium forced himself to speak as though he was perfectly fine. "Of course I've seen better days, but that is no excuse for why this one should be ruined. Yes, as I am certain you both know, some . . . difficulties have arisen, but in due time, they should be worked out as best as possible."

"Professor, perhaps I wasn't clear. We have three sick pixies, not just one. Eros and Belle, Amore's sibling and partner, are sick as well. That means that the two Red Fountain students that are with Darkar are their bonded partner. And... we may lose all three," Tune said, her composure faultering for a moment. She crossed her gloved arms over her chest and glanced up at him.
"Not mention all the gossip that's floating about. Heaven knows how many rules of ettiquette you, Flora, the two Red Fountain students have broken."

"Rules I've broken?" Palladium asked in confusion. "What exactly do you mean by that, Tune?" As understanding dawned on him, Palladium briefly closed his eyes and clenched his jaw to keep from speaking rashly. Keeping his voice controlled, he replied carefully, "That was a long time ago. You needn't bring it up again."

"Yes, but you know how much those gossip papers are fond of good looking couples," Tune pointed out before blushing. "Ah.. guilty pleasure," she admitted. She cleared her throat. "But getting back to topic," she said, "do you have any potions that can help the other pixies?"

Not wanting to give them the bad news, Palladium knew that it was nevertheless his duty. Slowly, he shook his head as he answered, "I am afraid I cannot help them. No magic can. The only way they can get better is if their partners . . . if their partners return to their normal selves." Frowning, Palladium asked as he leaned against his desk, "Are they in great pain already?"

"Chatta's less talkitive, if you can believe that," she admitted. "She's trying to put on a brave face for Lockette but we older ones know better. Eros is," she paused. "Well, let's just say, he's not eating and losing weight. Belle's color is horrible. She's paler then normal. She says that Darkar doesn't have her partner under his power like he has the other two but she's afraid for the seer's safety."

Palladium felt his heart sink: it was worse than he had thought. Rubbing his chin distractedly, Palladium walked over to the window that was located a few feet from his desk. Looking out across the campus, Palladium placed his hands against the windowsill as he replied quietly, "I am very sorry to hear that. I wish I could tell you that there was something I could do for them right now . . . but there isn't. There just isn't. If they are to be saved, their partners must first be saved." Momentarily forgetting that he was talking to a student and a pixie and not another adult, he sighed as he finished almost inaudibly, "And that, unfortunately, will be a long, dangerous, potentially deadly task."

Tune glanced at Musa. Now more then ever, they had to get that mission started. The others needed their help. She bit her lower lip and looked at the professor. "Professor, what would Darkar do to the seer if she doesn't give him the information he wants?" she asked quietly.

Palladium sighed as he turned back to Musa and Tune. "I don't know," he answered honestly. "I don't wish to alarm you, but, considering that this is Darkar we are dealing with, I think it is safe to assume that it will be terrible."

Tune paled. "Do you think she's told him where the Codex are or do we have time to hide them?" she asked, trying to run through ideas to help the other pixies. That and help the seer. Unless by moving them was a bad idea because then the seer could be hurt because of it.

Things were bad. Really bad. She noticed the look on Tune's face. The mission had to start they had to something to help the their friends, the pixies, the seer...
And she knew that things were going to be extremelly dangerous. The situation looked terrible, and maybe could get worse. Darkar had everything to put his hand on the codex, Musa thought.
She and her friends had to come with a plan to help everyone.
''Maybe the seer refusing to tell him?'' Musa thought aloud. ''I wish that there was something we could do... I think that even more people are about to get hurt.'' She said.
