OOC: Once again, from the Portal to the Outside. More Rashiel/Brian Molestation, with a potential of rocks being thrown at the Dragon Boy.
IC: Rashiel had followed Brian outside and promptly made her way far away from where the rest of Sky was.
"I take it that something's on your mind?"

: "I'm worried," Brian said. "Something about this quest is making me worried. Something's going to happen and I don't the children inside are exactly ready for this."

"I'd have to agree with that. I'm pretty sure that I'M probably not ready to deal with something like this. But we have to deal with what we've been handed, whether we're ready or not, don't we?" She took a deep breath and sighed.
"He's lucky that he doesn't have to go on the quest alone or completely in the dark. He has people with experience on his side. On top of that, while the stakes are higher, we all are more likely to succeed because of it. We have a reason to work harder and faster."

: "True," Brian said, wrapping his arm around her shoulders. "I'm just worried. Sky doesn't seem the most intelligent of men that I've seen. I'm just afraid he'd do something stupid and that either or my cousin will suffer because of it."

"We all do stupid things sometimes. It's just something that happens. Let's just hope that we can use past experience to avoid the stupid... If it makes you feel better, I trust that you can protect me and Christine from Sky's stupidity if it ever becomes a problem." She gave him a light kiss on the cheek.

: "I shall try at least. Hopefully, he'll be able to keep from doing something stupid. So... seeing how he has to fight an ogre.... who do you think will win?"

"You need to ask? Why I'd win, of course!" She grinned deviously and answered back jokingly.
"But honestly, in all seriousness, I imagine it'd be the ogre at first. But it does depend on what he does. I don't think he could beat him on brute strength alone." She nodded sagely.

: "I just hope he doesn't get killed while fighting the ogre. Explaining that to his parents would be positively awkward."

"I'd hope that none of us die, simply because I'd prefer for thing not to get messy like that."
She thought for a moment and decided that she didn't want to dwell on the idea of death, dying, or ogres.
"It's off topic, but tell me about your parents. You can ask me anything you like in return, and I'll try not to make it very vague or anything like that."

: "Hm.. what can I say. My father is a knight, he was my cousin's mother's champion at one point but then my mother came into the scene." He chuckled. "It was during the quest, and Father had a run-in with a future ally, one that wasn't pleasent. Mother, well, Mother pinned the ally to a tree with her arrows. She's an excellent shot. Well, Father thanked her, well, at the moment, he thought she was a he. So, when she removes her cap, he gets the shock of a lifetime when long hair tumbles down."

She laughed, as the story did come off sounding amusing. "Now that is certainly a way to meet your wife."
" I don't know how my parents met. No one particularly liked to talk about her very much when I was young, so I never thought to ask..."

: "Perhaps you'll find out someday," Brian said quietly. "I suppose you're wondering about my cousin's family. Now that is a story."

"Maybe. And now that you've mentioned it, I must insist that you at least tell me a little about it." She cuddled up close to Brian, and felt vaguely nostalgic. It reminded her of when she was little, before she'd known she was royalty and had to worry about her real father.

: "Well.. as you can guess, this is her mother's home, where Princess, yes, her mother was born a Princess, Melisande came from. Her stepfather, Sir Peter, comes from Boston. And her biological father is Prince Strongheart, from the other forgotten realm, Lovelylocks. Yes, I'm serious when I said that name." Brian himself chuckled a bit. "Sir Peter and Melisande did marry after the original quest was done, but something transpired during their marriage and they quietly ended it. I think it was because they were from two different realms and Melisande had trouble adjusting to the changes. So, Melisande returns here. Several months later, Prince Strongheart comes here to recover from a battle that took place in his home realm. He meets Melisande and they fall in love. Melisande returns to Boston and asks Sir Peter for his blessing, which he gives. Melisande and Strongheart marry and have a baby girl. But, what known of us knew was that Prince Strongheart had a curse on him. That's a different story, one I don't know. Melisande refuses to tell any of us that one. So, his curse returns and he vanishes. Melisande's a bit devestated and she seeks out Sir Peter to help raise her daughter. This is part of the reason why you'd never hear my cousin talk about her family."

"I see... So she doesn't know her birth father then? I can relate." She nodded. "That is sad though..." She looked a bit uncomfortable for a moment, thinking about it.
"So what would you like to know?" she said hastily.
