Christine just watched everyone, a content smile on her face as she snuggled down into the warm blanket Tash had given her. It was far too cold for her liking this morning.

Jules just glared at Strongheart as he adjusted his tie for the tenth time. "And you're smug why?"
"Been there, done that, never doing it again," Strongheart chuckled.
"Ah, but don't forget, you'll have to go through this when Christine marries."
"If she marries," Strongheart corrected.

"When she marries," Kaelin corrected from where he was sitting. "And your married so you might get a second wedding as well."

"Shouldn't be bothering your mother," Jules said with a laugh. "As for Strongheart..."
"I've been married twice already, Kaelin," he said quietly, looking away. "Once to the girl I loved and then to a woman who needed me as much as I needed her at the time." His gaze grew distant. "If there was a way to bring her back, I would."
Jules shifted in his chair. "Kae, perhaps you could go with me on a brief walk," he suggested, grabbing his son's arm and making a quick beeline to the door, dragging his son behind him. "He's in a mood again. Won't be long before the illusion drops..."

Kaelin let himself be drug to the door before he abruptly stopped and looked at Strongheart. There was one way to piss off Kaelin in a matter of seconds and that was to be so caught up in self pity that a person forgot what they had; Kae had missed many things that others took for granted. "You know, Prince Strongheart, personally I've never lost someone like you did but what your doing is insane. Your so caught up on the past that your missing what's going on now. There is only so long that Christine is going to try and reach out to you, she's a good kid don't mess it up. Living the life I have, I know how easy it is to loose someone you love but all I can say is yeah I would probably be just as upset as you are but I also know that if I were to let what your doing happen to me. They would find someway to come back just long enough to kick my ass for giving up what I still had. At least you had the chance to truly love someone isn't that what's life about? You could tell me that I have no sucking idea what I'm talking about, and you may be right," Kae shrugged, "That's for you to decide but pull yourself together, yes Celise is gone but your daughter isn't." and with that Kae walked out the door leaving Strongheart to do what he wanted, there was nothing further Kae could say.
"Sorry, I had to say it." Kae apologized to his father out side the door, "Today wasn't the best time for it, I hope this doesn't ruin your wedding."

"No, he had it coming," Jules said. "Now hopefully, the illusion won't drop. There was only so much that Shining Glory could heal. Ravenwaves had thrown a bottle of acid onto his face years ago," Jules said, explaining about the illusion to his son.

"So was that why Strongheart was running around as a dog during Christine's corination?"

"One of several reasons, your uncle has the unlucky curse of turning into a dog if he misplaces his medallion, which he did that day," Jules said quietly. "And please, we're not talking about that event. If Sky hadn't done what he did, it could have ended much much worse."

"But it didn't. " Kaelin commented but let the topic drop, for the moment. "Ready for this?"

"As ready as I'll ever be."

"Then shall we? It's not every day a kid gets to attend his parents wedding. And it really would be nice to get out of this pengin suit." Kaelin added with a grin

Jules chuckled. "So, how does your mother look?"

"Not a clue, girls wouldn't even let me near her. Said something about me telling you what I saw and they want your jaw to drop."

Jules nodded. "Makes sense."

"You'd think they'd have more faith that I'd not tell you what I saw." Kaelin laughed, knowing that had the girls told him, he would have most likely told his father.

Jules chuckled. "I'm sure your mother is completely lovely," he sighed quietly. "She was stunning when we first got married."
