Christine curled up in a chair, smiling up at her aunt. "Are you surprised?" she asked, content. It had been a sheer thrill to surprise her aunt and uncle by marriage (even if the marriage was her father's first - and had ended in a tradegy) with this - their second wedding.
"Tash and I felt that you needed to have a really special wedding since your first had such a sad overtone," Christine said. She pulled her cloak closer to her, trying to keep the winter chill at bay.
She glanced over and warmly smiled at Karina as the other girl offered her a rather strong and rather warm cup of jasmine tea. "Thank you," she breathed.

"I'm still trying to figure out how you all managed to keep something this big from us." Mali admitted

"Believe me, Aunt Mali," Christine said, laughing. "It wasn't easy at all."

Mali laughed,"Good to hear that we didn't make it that easy. But all I can say with hind sight, there were plenty of clues. We just didn't put them together so with that congratulations on keeping this from us and thank you for it." Mali informed Christine, touched by the gesture.

Christine gave her aunt a warm smile. "It was the least we could do," she said softly. "Besides," she laughed. "Your wedding is an affair of the state so that means I wasn't fully lying to Stella when I apologized for not attending her princess ball," she admitted. "But family comes first, and I'm sure she'd understand."
She coughed quietly. "I'll be fine. I'm not missing your wedding just because I have the sniffles."

"Affar of state? When did we become that important?" Mali teased not saying anything about the cough, she'd get her chance to look over Christine later, or better yet get Shining Glory to do it.

"You're family and this is important. That and Jules is considered a hero so, there you go," she said, laughing quietly.

"So just how many people are going to be at this affair of state?" Mali asked, a little afraid of just what the numbers were.

"Very hush hush, just Jules's family, the twins, you, Jules, my father, Shining Glory and maybe one or two nobles from the various regions. That's it," Christine said, looking up at Tash for confirmation.

"Hmm, then I have to say you've really done your homework for this. Who'd you ask for all the details?" Mali inquired, as Tash just nodded once and grinned.

Christine giggled. "Why do you think Tash, Kae and I were asking for details about your first wedding?"

"Then I must say you did a very good job because I don't think I've ever seen my twins be able to do something quite that subtly."

"We tried," Christine said, smiling a bit.

"Then I'd have to say you succeeded."

Christine smiled. "So, when do we get to see your dress, Aunt Mali? Or do you want us to be surprised? Or do we have to get you a new dress?" she asked, looking a bit excited, the color returning to her features.
