"Whenever sang my songs On the stage, on my own Whenever said my words Wishing they would be heard I saw you smiling at me Was it real or just my fantasy? You'd always be there in the corner Of this tiny little bar
My last night here for you Same old songs, just once more My last night here with you? Maybe yes, maybe no I kind of liked it your way How you shyly placed your eyes on me Did you ever know That I had mine on you?
Darling, so there you are With that look on your face As if you're never hurt As if you're never down Shall I be the one for you Who pinches you softly but sure If frown is shown then I will know that you are no dreamer
So let me come to you Close as I want to be Close enough for me To feel your heart beating fast And stay there as I whisper How I love your peaceful eyes on me Did you ever know That I had mine on you?
Darling, so share with me Your love if you have enough Your tears if you're holding back Or pain if that's what it is How can I let you know I'm more than the dress and the voice Just reach me out then You will know that you're not dreaming
Darling, so there you are With that look on your face As if you're never hurt As if you're never down Shall I be the one for you Who pinches you softly but sure If frown is shown then I will know that you are no dreamer..." Christine sang quietly.

Timmy was starting to regret his brief little pause, for in those few moments he took to scan for Tecna's face, he'd found himself surrounded by underclassmen whose smiling faces and effortless dancing began making him feel like he was in some sort of freakish carnival. Actually he didn't really feel like that, but his mind always played tricks on him when he got really uncomfortable.
He looked around for any other familiar faces. He noticed a commotion in one part of the room and saw Professor Palladium at the center of it. Nothing unusual there.
He saw the Winx Club girls in their usual clique. Nothing unusual there, either. He breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Sky and Brandon in another part of the room. At least he knew them.
He was about to start snaking his way through the dancers when he saw something that involuntarily made his heart skip: Tecna. Was she cutting her way toward him?
He raised his hand and waved at her. "Tecna! Hey, over here!" he shouted over the music, heedless of the annoyed looks he received from the surrounding dancers.

Several eyes all veered over to the fuscia-haired fairy, which caused Tecna to involuntarily grit her teeth and shoot the Specialist a warning glare. She saw him, already, he didn't have to be so outright conspicuous!

Mileva stamped her foot, and got some stares from random passing people. Why the heck did she even come here? It's not as if she expected anyone to talk with her, much less to dance. And she did feel like dancing, but she didn't want to do it alone.
She grabbed a glass of punch and sat on a chair near the wall. This was going to be much fun.

"I haven't seen Stella, Brandon. I'm hoping to find Bloom myself. But otherwise, why don't you entertain yourself?" Sky told Brandon. He spotted Timmy on the other side of the room, and wondered where Riven is.

And she did feel like dancing, but she didn't want to do it alone. She grabbed a glass of punch and sat on a chair near the wall. This was going to be much fun. Musa was looking a bit lost. She was feeling that the party was a bit... Boring. But she had to admit that the music was good, though. The song was great, even though she couldn't recognize that music from anywhere. There was a thing... Well, some things, bothering Musa. It was just her, or Tecna was annoyed and Flora got a little... Red when she was talking Palladium? Latter, she would go talking to then about that. Specially to Flora. But still Musa had the feeling that soon enough Tecna would be with Timmy, Flora with... Well, she didn't had a clue about it, Bloom with Sky, Brandom with Stella... Layla was nowhere to be seen... Maybe the girl predicted that the party was going to be a bit boring or something, Musa thought. Since everyone else seemed to be dancing, and or/talking, and having fun in general... Well, maybe not Tecna, or even Flora, Musa decided talking with someone who was looking as bored as she was. Musa saw a girl, alone, near the wall. Went near her, and decided talking to her. She looked at Timmy calling Tecna. Yeah, she guessed right, soon enough, they would be thogueter. Musa sighed, and started talking to the green haired girl, alone, looking quite lost as well. ''Huh, hi.'' Said Musa, friendly to the girl, smiling.''You are new around here, huh? I'm Musa. Liking the party?'' She probably wasn't, but Musa asked, just to be sort of polite. OOC:I. Must. Not. Act. Like. A total. FF8. Fangirl. Arrrrrrrrrg! I love that music. I mean, love! I love most musics from that game. And my post... Blarg, was so random. Sorry guys.

Timmy recoiled inside at Tecna's glare. Well, it wouldn't be normal if I didn't start the night with a big goof-up. He knifed his way through the dancers and met Tecna in a more open spot with a freindly smile. "Hey, Tecna! Enjoying the dance?" he asked innocently. He kept his hands behind his back to hide their trembling. Some Specialist he was. Trained to face down some of the most heinous creatures in the universe, and one fuscia-haired fairy was all it took to dissolve his nerves.

"I suppose the atmosphere is favorable over last year's opening dance." Tecna nonchalantly responded, her gaze drifting between the various groups her girlfriends were segregating off to. She tried to keep weaving between other people as well, leading Timmy over to his other classmates. "But you know me, never have been much of a dancer. I much prefer silence of a library to the music and bustle of social mixers." She critically frowned. She didn't mean to be so negative, she really was just trying to make conversation. "These sorts of things feel so forced sometimes."

"I know that you're hiding things Using gentle words to shelter me Your words were like a dream But dreams could never fool me Not that easily I acted so distant then Didn't say goodbye before you left But I was listening You'll fight your battles far from me Far too easily
"Save your tears cause I'll come back" I could hear that you whispered as you walked Through that door But still I swore To hide the pain when I turn back the pages Shouting might have been the answer What if I'd cried my eyes out and begged you not to depart But now I'm not afraid to say what's in my heart
Though a thousand words Have never been spoken They'll fly to you Crossing over the time and distance holding you Suspended on silver wings And a thousand words One thousand confessions Will cradle you Making all of the pain you feel seem far away They'll hold you forever
The dream isn't over yet Though I often say I can't forget I still relive that day "You've been there with me all the way" I still hear you say "Wait for me I'll write you letters" I could see how you stammered with your eyes to the floor But still I swore to hide the doubt When I turn back the pages Anger might have been the answer What if I'd hung my head and said that I couldn't wait But now I'm strong enough to know it's not too late
Cause a thousand words Call out through the ages They'll fly to you Even though we can't see I know they're reaching you Suspended on silver wings Oh a thousand words One thousand embraces Will cradle you Making all of your weary days seem far away They'll hold you forever
Oh a thousand words Have never been spoken They'll fly to you They'll carry you home and back into my arms Suspended on silver wings ohhh And a thousand words Call out through the ages They'll cradle you Turning all of the lonely years to only days They'll hold you forever," Christine sang before sliding into another song.
"What can I do for you? What can I do for you? What can I do for you? What can I do for you? I can hear you What can I do for you? What can I do for you? What can I do for you? Far beyond the hazy borders of my heart I could see a place that's something like this Every now and then I don't know what to do Still I know that I can never go back But the things I've seen in those hazy dreams Can't compare to what I'm seeing now Everything's so different That it brings me to my knees
And though I know the world of real emotion has surrounded me I won't give in to it Now I know that forward is the only way my heart can go I hear your voice calling out to me: "You'll never be alone" What can I do for you? What can I do for you? What can I do for you? I can hear you What can I do for you? What can I do for you? What can I do for you?
I don't plan on looking back on my old life I don't ever plan to rely on you Even if by chance everything should go wrong You'd come anyway and try to save me Though from time to time it's an upward climb All I know is that I must believe 'Cause the truth I'm seeking Always was inside of me
And when I find the world of real emotion has surrounded me The many things that you taught me then Will always be enough to get me through the pain Because of you I am strong enough to know I'm not alone What can I do for you? What can I do for you?
What can I do for you? What can I do for you? What can I do for you? What can I do for you? I can hear you And if I find the real world of emotion has surrounded me And I can't go on You are there the moment that I close my eyes to comfort me We are connected for all of time I'll never be...
I can hear you I can hear you".

"I know what you mean," said Timmy in an agreeable tone as Tecna led him across the dance floor. "For me it's always the lab or the machine shop. If I want noise, I like to think it's being used to make something useful or cool, preferably both." He really wanted to ask Tecna to dance with him, even if they were both awful at it, but not in a hundred years could he work up the courage to ask her. Maybe one of the guys could show him a thing or two? Except Riven. Riven wouldn't show him a pleasant smile if his life depended on it. "But I guess dances don't happen on their own like they do in the movies, don't you think?" They had cleared the largest group of underclassmen, and all that stood between them and Timmy's friends was a large open space on the dance floor in front of the stage.

Christine spotted Timmy walking with Tecna and she hid a small smile. Well, there was a song that could work. "Girl, you're looking fine tonight, and every guy has got you in his sights. What you're doing with a clown like me, is surely one of life's little mysteries? So tonight I'll ask the stars above, "How did I ever win your love?" What did I do? What did I say, to turn your angel eyes my way?
Well, I'm the guy who never learned to dance, never even got one second glance. Across a crowded room was close enough, I could look but I could never touch. So tonight I'll ask the stars above, "How did I ever win your love?" What did I do? What did I say, to turn your angel eyes my way?
Don't anyone wake me, if it's just a dream 'Cause she's the best thing, that's ever happened to me. All you fellows, you can look all you like, but this girl, you see, she's leavin' here with me tonight. There's just one more thing that I have to know, if this is love why does it scare me so? It must be something only you can see, 'cause girl I feel it when you look at me.
So tonight I'll ask the stars above, "How did I ever win your love?" What did I do? What did I say, to turn your angel eyes my way?"
Now, before it looked like she had planned to sing that song specifically to them.
"I can't stop this feeling Deep inside of me. Girl, you just don't realize What you do to me. When you hold me In your arms so tight, You let me know, Everythings alright, ahahah. I'm hooked on a feeling, I'm high on believing, That your in love with me.
Lips as sweet as candy. Their taste stays on my mind. Girl, you keep me thirsty for another cup of wine. I got it bad for you girl, But I don't need a cure, I'll just stay addicted, If I can endure All the good love, when we're all alone Keep it up girl, yeah you turn me on.
I'mmm, I'mmm Hooked on a feeling. I'm high on believing that your in love with me. All the good love, when we're all alone Keep it up girl, yeah you turn me on. Ahaha I'm hooked on a feeling, I'm high on believing, That your in love with me. I'm hooked on a feeling, I'm high on believing, That your in love with me. I say I'm hooked on a feeling, And I'm high on believing, That your in love with me. I'm hooked on a feeling."
Silently, she hoped one of the Specialists would be her hero and invite her to dance so she wasn't stuck singing *all* evening.

Mileva smiled at the raven-haired girl with funky hair who talked to her. "Hello Musa, I'm Mileva. To be honest, I'm not that comfortable right now. I don't know a lot of people, and there's not a lot happening."
She stared at all the couples on the floor. "There's nice music, but I don't dare to dance." She honestly admitted.

"The dance?" Palladium said, echoing Flora's words. "Oh, I'm sure it's fun for you students, but for me? Honestly, it's more of a chore." Tossing his glance in the general direction of the other teachers supervising the event, he continued, "It seems that I'm the odd one out." Palladium laughed, his nerves easing slightly as he felt himself relax and adjust to Flora's presence. Resuming in a conspiratorial tone, he added, "I think you can see I'm neither old nor bitter enough to scowl at the students as my colleagues often do; however, I apparently also am not young enough to mingle with the crowd. So you see I'm in quite a quandary."

Griselda was never been fond of dances, but the conversation has turned into "We All Worship Avalon," which frankly, was making her sick to her stomach. She walked over to Flora and Palladium. "Am I inturrupting anything?"she asks, giving Flora a glacial glare.

"I see you have a point there, Professor," Flora said politely, blushing all the while. 'Flora, stop blushing,' she mentally ordered herself. 'He's your teacher. He's your teacher. He's... not that much older then you. He's your teacher.. He looks delicious.. He's your teacher,' she mentally lectured herself. Of course, all the lectures in the world meant nothing when a drunken student bumped into Flora, sending her tumbling into the professor's arms.
"Uh..." she shyly stammered when she looked up and found herself almost dangerously close to kissing him.
