: Byron came up behind Christine and pulled her into his arms, ignoring the fact that Christine was struggling to break free. "I do think you've stayed long enough at this party, my lady," he drawled lazily. "I'm going to take you back home where you belong." "Sky! A little help here!" Christine called, her voice frantic. Her eyes widened at the sight of Byron's dagger under her throat. Oh, hell.

Seeing Christine's blatant discomfort - actually, more like fear, Diaspro shrilly demanded, "Unhand her, at once, you lecherous pig!"

: Byron just gave the other princess an amused look. "And exactly what are you going to do if I don't? Oh, that's right, nothing. You wouldn't dare do anything that would get her hurt, am I right?" To prove his point, he gently pricked Christine's throat with the tip of his blade. A small trickle of blood formed at the site of the wound. Christine was downright terrified. Byron was many things - she never thought insane and violent were part of it. 'Get. Sky,' she mouthed to Disa.

Furiously, Diaspro retorted, raising her voice loudly, in hopes of getting Sky's attention, wherever the devil he was, "I think it's more like you wouldn't hurt her enough to put her life in serious danger. You see, as a princess, I've dealt with men like you for the better half of my life, and let me guess - Lady Strongheart here has, oh, a title you wish to acquire for yourself. Am I right? Please tell me I'm right; I do so hate to be wrong."
Internally, however, Diaspro insides were churning with fear. The reality was that she wasn't used to dealing with situations like this. She was helpless. Utterly helpless. She needed Sky . . . oh, where was he? Hadn't he heard her by now? Shouldn't he have come rushing in yet to save the day? What was the point in him being a hero if he didn't actually save people.
But on the off chance that Sky hadn't heard her, Diaspro knew that she had to make him hear. And so she did what she had always done best as a child. She screamed.

: Byron pushed the blade firmer against Christine's throat, causing her eyes to widen from fear. "Don't push me, little princess," he snarled. "As for what she has... As a seer, she's a powerful little tool. And she's heir to the Magic Realm and Lovelylocks. Two very powerful regions." He grinned. "And there's nothing wrong with wanting power."

Having chosen to go outside onto the balcony after rejoining the party, Sky was jolted out of his thoughts by a piercing scream. A distinctive scream. A Diaspro scream. Horrified at the thought of a Bloom and Diaspro fight at his party, Sky rushed into the room, and quickly glanced around the room, expecting to see his girlfriend and ex-fiancee in an all out war.
Instead he saw something different. Something terrifying. Disa. Christine. And some man . . . with a knife to her throat. Without thinking, Sky instinctively reached for the closest weapon he could find: the knife he had recently started carrying under the leg of his pants. Calmly, he approached the threesome and asked, carefully keeping his knife out of sight, "Is there a problem?"

: "Ah, the perfect Prince Sky. How nice of you to join us," Byron drawled. "I see you've been taking very good care of my woman. You remember, don't you?" The silver blade dripped with Christine's blood. Little drops of crimson landing on the floor forming a small puddle. He wasn't about to let the werewolf win the princess and if it meant the princess had to die, so be it. "Sky, help," Christine said quietly, weakly. Her blue eyes were wide and full of fear. The last time Byron had done something like this - Sky nearly ripped Byron's throat out or would have had he been able to transform.

"I was just wondering if..." Tash started before being interrupted by a scream. "Now I think they may have killed each other." Walking out the door to see that commotion only to find that it was not what she thought. Some strange person had a knife to her friends neck and no one was doing anything. Slipping through the crowd so that she was closer, Tash paused behind the pair and waited to see what would happen.

Flora grabbed Layla's hand and the pair raced out to see the commotion. "So much for a quiet birthday for Sky," she breathed, staring in horror. "Isn't that... Oh my..." She looked over at Layla. "Somehow, I didn't think this was part of tonight's entertainment..."

Seeing the sight before her eyes, Layla felt her mouth fall open in shock. If it had involved magic, she could have dealt with that . . . but this, this was something that her Winx would probably be helpless against. Sure, she could attack that man, but not fast enough - not fast enough to prevent him from slitting her throat. Squeezing Flora's hand tightly, Layla shot her a helpless look.

Doing his best to keep his voice steady, Sky calmly replied, "Put the knife down. Neither one of us wants her hurt, Byron. So just put it down; otherwise, you'll have to deal with me. That might not sound so threatening to you right now, but I must warn you that I'm not the bumbling boy that you met all those years ago anymore. Therefore, if you don't put the knife down right now, I swear that I will not hesitate to slay you with it."

: "Bold words coming from a cowardly werewolf," Byron hissed quietly, keeping his voice calm and controlled. "You didn't think I would find out, did you?" He chuckled darkly. "This is a special dagger. It's pure silver."

Feeling his blood boil, Sky sneered, knowing full well that he was losing control, "A cowardly werewolf? We'll see about that, Byron." As his body started to shift in form by no accord of his own, Sky growled, "You think that your silver knife will protect you? That it will harm me? Think again." Raising his fist, Sky asked silkily, now fully transformed into a werewolf, "Tell me, Byron - how do you like my nails?" Not giving the other man a chance to respond, Sky lashed out at Byron, raking his claws painfully across his face while, with his other hand, he jerked the knife away from Christine's neck, accidentally cutting her slightly in the process.

Christine's hand shot to her throat, covering the inflicted wounds. She sank to the ground, staring up at the scene, transfixed. Horror, fear and concern played across her features as she watched the scene. : Byron spat an oath at Sky, fury his prime emotion. "I'll kill you," he snarled. He pulled another silver dagger from a sheath hidden in his boot and lunged at Sky.
