Flora nodded. "They do look cute, don't they," she said, watching the pair. "I'm kind of eager to see their take on the dance scene from the Disney movie. It should be unique and cute." She paused and looked at Karina. "So, who are you playing?" she asked quietly. "I'm playing the teapot." Karina smiled as she pulled her short brown hair back into a cute ponytail. "Oh, I'm just playing one of the town villagers - a girl name Virginie. It's not that big of a role or anything, but I'm actually kind of glad about that." With a laugh, she shook her head as she said amusedly, "For some reason when I signed up for this play I got the notion in my head that I could act and sing. I really can't. I'm more like the kind of person who gets all clammy at the thought of performing onstage - so I guess we'll just have to see how it goes. I'm crossing my fingers for the best, but you never know, right?"

"I still want to know how I got the teapot. Layla says my personality fits but I don't know..."

"You may very well just be making a mountain out of a molehill, but if you are then let's figure this out before it does become a mountain. This is important enough to you that you feel this way so don't just brush it away." Tash said as she moved and sat down beside Layla. "Most people our age are still in the it's all about me stage. They don't mean for it to be hurtful but they just don't realize what they are doing. To top that most of you are Princess's and from what I have seen Princesses are fairly used to getting their own way. Your friends love you dearly and would do anything for you. They may not always show it because of some little crisis they are having." Tash paused letting what she had said so far sink in. "Never think that being the comfort someone that the others can count on as a bad thing or that it puts you in the background. If anything it proves that they trust you enough to come to you about their problems." As she allowed Tash's words to sink in, Layla nodded slowly before she finally answered with a touch of a genuine smile, "That's a good way of looking at things; I mean, the logical part of me knows that my friends don't want to hurt me, but sometimes, in the moment of things, that knowledge kind of gets lost in the hurt. I guess I just needed some time to cool down." Glancing over at Tash, Layla bit her lip and then said, "Thanks for listening, Tash; I mean, I know we don't talk that often . . . but in any event, you're a great listener and an excellent advice giver. So thanks again - you know, for lending me your ear and all."

"I still want to know how I got the teapot. Layla says my personality fits but I don't know..." "Well that sounds about right to me," Karina replied with a smile. "Think of it this way: when you think about tea what's the first thing that comes to your mind? For me, it's comfort. And you are a very comforting person." Laughing quietly, she added, "If you weren't, do you think I would be talking to you? I mean, after all, it's no big secret that I tend to shy away from people who are more . . . in your face? People like Stella - no offense to her, of course. But anyhow, if that explanation doesn't suit you - there's always another one. To me, teapots are always very pretty and delicate, much like you."

Christine sighed softly and tugged Sky's hand. "C'mon," she said quietly. "One scene, you and me. Just one. We should practice at least once by ourselves before we start practicing in front of the others for the show.."

Sky sighed as he relented grudgingly, "All right, all right. I suppose you make sense; the more we practice, the better we'll be - and the less stupid we'll look. So then, my fair Belle, what scene shall we rehearse?"

Sky groaned before he nodded his head and said, "We might as well; although, I must warn you, I don't sing very well. And by that, I mean that I sound worse than nails on chalkboard. Whoever decided it was a wise idea to add songs to this play should have kept in mind that not everyone can sing. Either that, or they should have made sure that at least the leads could. And by that, I mean me." Sky sighed and then finished, "But here goes nothing - I'm not promising magic, though."

Christine nodded. She closed her eyes for a moment, took a deep centering breath and opened her eyes, almost seeming to slip into character.
"Let me go, set me free, and let me fly!" she sang, her voice sounding desperate. Her blue eyes were full of concern for a figure that wasn't on stage - her father.

Not nearly as confident as Christine, Sky sang his line with much less enthusiasm, though he did try his best to be in character, "If you go, don't you know that I will die!"

"Let me go, I will see you soon again!" she sang, her voice still desperate. She had to get back to her father, he needed her. Surely the Beast would understand that. She would return, she promised the Beast that she would stay with him.

Feeling a bit uncomfortable with the desperation in Christine's voice, Sky sang nervously, knowing that he was clearly being overshadowed, "If you go, I will be the unhappiest of men!"

"Let me go! I'll return to you! I swear! Let me go! In your dreams I'll still be there!" she sang, clinging to the Beast, reaffirming her promise. She looked up at him with such concern, pain and devotion swirling in her blue eyes.

"Let me go! You must pack your bags and go!" Sky sang, in the back of his head, knowing that he must sound awful. He knew that he wasn't hitting the right notes and he knew that it was made all the more obvious by Christine's crystal clear voice. There was no way in hell he could do this in front of people. No way in hell.

"Though I go, I'll be back before you know! Let me go! I'll return to you! I swear! Let me go! In your dreams I'll still be there!" she sang, her voice softening, the desperation nearly gone. He was letting her go. But she would return. The moment her father was well, she'd return to her beloved Beast.
