"Works for me." She glanced at her number. 21. Nice. She flipped open her phone and dialed Brandon's number. "Hey Bran. Is Sky going to be racing in today's race?"

"Hey to you as well, Yeah he's going to race but why you asking me?" Brandon asked wondering just what Christine had up her sleeve. "Did the two of you have another battle of wills?"

"I was just curious and felt like making a small bet. If the racer number 21 wins, he owes me dinner..."

"Again why are you asking me shouldn't you be asking him your self? Although I am curious what makes you think 21 has the skills to win?" Brandon asked, leaning back against the wall.

"Because, he's racing and you're not and I haven't been able to reach Sky on his cell. I keep getting his blasted voice mail." She was fairly grinning. "Oh, I saw 21 do a few practice laps. Racer looks pretty good. Probably could kick Sky's ass."

"Great, since I strained my shoulder not only am I not allowed to race but I get to be Sky's messenger." Brandon responded with a chuckle. "I don't think any one, other then a select few, are going to kick Sky's ass this year. He's rated to finish in the top five. So want me to ask him for you or just give you to go ahead?"

"Just the go ahead, luv," she said laughing quietly. Sky would be surprised. All those levabike lessons he gave her were going to pay off for once.

"Best not let Stella catch you calling me that." Brandon said in a good natured tone. "But go for it, I'll let him know he's in a wager when I see him again. Good luck to your boy." Brandon said; positive that 21 was going to need it.

"I'll let 21 know." She was amused - very amused.

Tash bit her lip to keep from laughing aloud. Her eyes sparkling with mirth, this was was to funny. When Chris finally hung up with Brandon, "Well done. I wouldn't have been able to pull it off like that."

"Nei, so my betting skills leave something to be desired." Tash said as she walked beside Christine on their way to the tracks. "Ten minutes to race time. Ready for this?"

Checking her bike to make sure everything was in top shape, Layla smiled as she pushed herself to her feet. The races would be starting soon and she had every intention of winning. Placing top three simply wasn't acceptable - she wanted, needed to win. And from the looks of it, it wouldn't be too difficult. She had checked the list to see who had signed up and most of the guys had nothing on her. In fact, it seemed like her only real competition was Riven. He was tough and he was good - but that didn't mean that he was unbeatable.
Scanning the crowds, Layla saw Christine approaching the tracks. Furrowing her brow in mild curiosity, Layla waved to catch her attention and to call her over.

Christine walked over, her levabike next to her. "Hey, Layla. You racing? If so, want in on my bet?" she asked with a light laugh.
