Sky threw back his head as he burst into laughter. Trying to keep a straight face, he replied in a tone that implied that he was speaking to a child, "Aww, isn't that cute? Ms. Princess of Light is going to fight the big, bad evil guy. Well, let me just warn you, I'm very, very powerful and I don't want to have to hurt you. So if you just step aside, Stella, I'll let you go unharmed, okay?"

"No. Not okay," Stella seethed. "You want a fight, Sky? Then I'll give you one you'll never forget!"
Raising her scepter above her head, Stella cried out, "Sun blast!" Quickly pointing the staff at Sky, a ball of bright light burst forth and slammed into Sky's chest, knocking him off his disk. Arching a brow as she floated over his body, she asked with a short laugh, "Still think I'm playing around?" Training her scepter on him again, she tilted her head cutely as she finished, "Think again, Sky." Before he could react, another blast of light shot forward and covered his body . . .

Sky roared angrily as he felt the heat slam into his body. Pushing himself to his feet, Sky regained his composure, though his jaw was clenched tightly and a line marred his forehead as he stared at the fairy hovering above him. "Bad choice, Stella," he growled. "Bad, bad, choice."
Getting back onto his disk, Sky drew his sword from its sheath as he flew closer to Stella. Turning to Christine, he raised a brow as he said evenly, "Either tell me where the Codex is, Christine, or Stella," Sky paused and then drew a finger across his throat, "is a goner."

Christine froze. She had no idea where in Alfea the archives were and couldn't even begin to guess where. She shot a helpless look up to Stella. She didn't want the other girl hurt but she had no idea where the Codex was. "I... I.."

Musa was on walking on the forest, with her walkman, listening to music on a very, very loud volume. She needed to relax and think a little bit, Music always happened...
But as she walked, even with the music so loud, she could hear voices... She turned her walkman off. Yes, there were voices. Familiar voices.
And it was just her, or there was a fight happening? Well, if there was a fight, she had to transform.

"What's this?" Sky asked, pretending to look innocent. "You're not willing to save Stella? Tsk, tsk, Christine. I expected more from you. Oh well . . . here goes nothing."
Flying close to Stella, Sky easily wrenched her scepter out of her hands and threw it down to the ground below. "What? Not so brave now, princess? I don't blame you. You are, after all, about to . . . well, you know what I mean."

Feeling her heart race, Stella frantically tried to think up a plan. Something. Anything. Eying her scepter that was lying far below her on the ground, Stella bit her lip. If she could just get to it before Sky could use his sword . . .
As a thought popped into her mind, Stella smiled. It could work. It'd be risky - but it could work. She just needed to get the timing perfect. As Sky zeroed in on her, Stella let out a yell and kicked her knee forward, socking him in the stomach. Hearing him grunt, Stella zoomed down to the ground and grabbed her scept-
"Ah!" Stella screamed out in pain at the feel of a hand latching on to her wings. "Get off of me," she yelped as she thrashed helplessly, her hand desperately trying to grasp the staff that lay just out of her reach. And then just as suddenly she felt something blunt slam into the base of her head before everything went black.

Laughing as he placed his sword back into its protective sheath, Sky flew down to where Christine was still standing and agilely lifted her into his arms. "Now that that is taken care of, shall we proceed to the Codex, Christine?"

Christine bowed her head. "I suppose telling you that I have no idea where the Codex is hidden besides the name of the room isn't going to cut it," she said. She could feel his hands against her bruises and tried to keep from crying out in pain.

Sky frowned distractedly as his head began to throb painfully. Shifting Christine in his arms, he grimaced as he felt a strange sensation flow throughout his body - that same sensation that had taken over him moments before that goody-goody real Prince Sky had reclaimed his body in Darkar's castle.
Shaking his head, Sky growled to the light half of himself, "No. No, you are not going to take control, you imbecile. I won't let you. This is my body now and I yield only to darkness!" And then strangely enough just as suddenly as the pain had begun, the dark Sky seemed to vanish to be replaced by the real Sky.

Christine's eyes widened and she tried not to burst in to tears. "Sky?" she asked, her voice shaking. "Is it...?" Tears slipped down her cheeks as she looked at him.

Sky stared down at Christine, his vision momentarily unfocused. Shaking his head to clear the cloudiness before his eyes, Sky began to smile at the sight of her safe out of Darkar's castle - and then, he paused. Glancing around, Sky's eyes darted along the ground as he whispered in horrified realization, "Oh my god . . . Stella. Where is she?"
Quickly flying back to the place where Stella was still lying face down and unconscious, Sky froze, entirely motionless. In shock, his mouth parted as he asked, "What have I done?" Getting off the disk, Sky tentatively walked closer to the fairy, and then bent down next to her. Shaking, Sky rolled her onto her back and then breathed a sigh of relief as he felt a pulse on her wrist. Falling back against the base of a tree, Sky closed his eyes as he murmured inaudible apologies to his friend.

Christine hesitantly limped over to him and knelt down. She searched his blue eyes - trying to see if this was really him or just his dark side playing a horrible trick on her, hoping to catch her off guard. "Is it true? Do you really think I'm worthless?" she asked quietly, tears sparkling in her eyes.

Smiling sadly, Sky shook his head as he placed a hand against Christine's cheek. "That wasn't me saying those things. I swear it. You're a good person, Christine - one of the better ones that all the realms combined have ever seen."
Looking away, Sky swallowed audibly as he continued, "I'm going to ask you to something for me and you're not going to want to do it. But I need you to. The thing is, I don't know how much longer it will be before that dark being takes hold of me again - I just know that it will. Darkar is too powerful for me to fight on my own. That being said, I want to give him the best fight possible. So this what I want you to do." Standing up Sky removed from his body the heavy metal sheath that contained his sword. Handing it to Christine, he smiled gently as he said, "I want you to hit me hard with this on the back of my head, like I did to Stella. I want you to knock me unconscious and then I want you to take this," Sky handed her his silver flying disk, "and use it to get to Alfea as quickly as possible to warn everyone of the danger that is coming."

Christine gave him a light kiss on the lips before she did as he told her. It broke her heart to hurt him but she knew she had needed to do it. A silent forgive me escaped her lips as she stared at his unconcious form. She grabbed Stella's body and half pulled, half dragged her onto the disk with her.
A brief glance over her shoulder to see Sky's limp body and then she was off to Alfea.
