Okay, jumping from Darkar's castle probably wasn't her brightest move to date, she thought, dragging her broken left leg. She looked worn out and drained. She hoped she could get to Alfea and warn them. She sank down to the ground, weakened. "I can do this," she whispered, climbing to her feet. "Right. Not much farther..."

"Stupid, stupid girl. Thought you could escape?" Sky asked with a harsh laugh as he stared down at Christine. Motioning at the silver disk that he was standing on, which he used to fly, he asked tauntingly, "Did you forget that I have this?" Shaking his head in amusement, Sky pointed to his shoulder as he continued, "I have to applaud you though for your ability with the dagger - though I must also laugh at your lack of forethought."
Without warning, Sky leaned down and jerked her up onto the disk and held her tightly in her arms. Darkly, he asked, "Did you honestly think I'd just let you go? That I'd let Darkar blame me for letting you escape? I don't think so." Shifting his body's weight on the disk, Sky sent them soaring upward - back toward Darkar's castle.

Christine struggled in Sky's arms, trying to break free. "Let me go!" she cried. "Let me go!" How the hell was she going to get free now. She was not going back, damn it.

"That's not going to happen, sweetheart. Do you think I'm going to make that mistake twice? Let me give you the short answer: no. And don't forget, my dear, I'm quite powerful now that I have both your Lyon's and Riven's strength. Try to escape again and you'll regret it."
By then, Sky had brought them high over the treetops - just so that he could remind Christine of what loomed not too far ahead. Shadowhaunt.

"I have a broken leg and a broken ankle, believe me, nothing you can do can make me forget," she snarled. She struggled, hoping to break free of his grasp. She hoped that she'd fall into the trees and would then be able to escape. She had to get to Alfea.

"You can try, but it won't work," Sky replied silkily, as though he had read her thoughts. Indeed, his arms were wrapped tightly around Christine's body like steel manacles - a grip that was almost impossible to break free from.

Any other time, she would have loved to be held this tightly, but right now... She continued to struggle, not caring that he was leaving bruises on her body. She was going to break free of Sky's grip and she was going to warn Alfea.
There was some blackness at the corners of her vision and she found it hard to breath. He was holding her so tightly that her chest was finding it hard to rise and fall. "Sky, you're hurting me," she gasped. "I can't breath."

"We've almost arrived back to Shadowhaunt," Sky snapped. "You'll be able to breathe soon enough - that is, as soon as you are back in chains with no way to escape. Until then, you can just go ahead and pass out - in fact, it'll actually make my job much easier to do."

Christine continued to struggle, trying to get free enough to at least breath. With one move that she hoped would work, she kicked back - aiming for his most sensitive place. Hopefully, that would have him let go and she could once again experience freedom.

Unfortunately for Christine, the opposite effect happened. Rather than letting go, Sky's arms tightened spasmodically as he howled in pain. Through gritted teeth he sputtered, "Try something like that again and I swear I'll shave your head until all your pretty locks of hair are trampled into the ground."

Chris mentally swore but she didn't try kicking there again. She was still going to get free. She just needed to think how. Pain and seduction were right out. What she needed was a bit of pixie magic. Did she risk casting a removal spell?

"Still plotting an escape?" Sky asked, his voice a silky murmur by her ear. "Unfortunately for you, you seem to have forgotten that we weren't that far from Shadowhaunt to begin with. Look up ahead, Christine - what do you see? Ah yes . . . Darkar's castle."
Skillfully shifting his body's weight so that they could fly faster, Sky laughed as just mere moments later they were at the outskirts of forest and on the border to Darkar's castle.

It was risky but she'd do it. "How did that spell go?" Chris whispered under her breath. "Carbitrome, zuminai, lavathol..." She nodded once to herself. "Carbitrome, zuminai, lavathol, untombre, baristome, misincromeaves, magliolac..." she started to chant, the ancient words to the removal spell slipping free.

Sky laughed as he heard Christine's faint whispers. "What's this? A spell? Well, for my sake, I pray that you know what you're doing - I think everyone from here to the end of all the realms knows what happened the last time you tried to cast a spell. You remember, don't you? How you turned your Sky into a dragon? And how many people almost died during the quest because they were trying to save your butt? Not that that matters to you, I suppose."

Christine nearly faltered during her chanting - Sky's voice proving to be a horrible distraction. And she mentally noted that she hadn't turned him into a dragon on purpose. That was something she thought Sky had known. Although, given his current attitude - the dragon had been a vast improvement. She continued the chant, the words slipping free.
With a triumphant smile, she let the last word slip free. "Calla."
A small puff of smoke was all that remained of Christine, who was back in the woods of Alfea. Hopefully, he wouldn't be able to find her... this time. She did hope that someone else would - like a professor.
