Tash had been planning on avoiding the dance all together but she could not help but want to peak in at them. And peck was all she was going to do, Tash was still dressed in her sweats and tank that showed off her scars. She knew that no one would want to be seen with her, looking the way she did.
Rounding the corner to the ballroom, Tash saw a figure squashed down against the walll. "Now why does this seem familiar?" she could not help but mutter. "Chris is that you?" Tash asked upon closer inspection.

Karina gave a small smile as she cast her eyes down toward the ground, feeling her normal shyness return. As she and Brandon danced, she replied wistfully, "Stella's a lucky girl, and I bet you're a lucky guy too; I mean, it must be nice to have found love. It just seems like its so rare these days, you know?" "Actually I think anyone can find love. It happens when your not looking for it. For all we know, your future man is in the crowds, jealous of me because I am dancing with you, not him." Brandon teased her.

Karina paused for a moment, allowing Brandon's words to register in her mind. Slowly she nodded her head in agreement as she raised her eyes back up to his so that he would see that she appreciated his comments. Smiling, Karina blushed, feeling slightly embarrassed by her dance partner's good-natured teasing, and replied softly, "I think I like that possibility."

Tash asked upon closer inspection. Christine lowered her hands, and glanced up at Tash, her eyes slightly red from crying. She nodded and tried to stop from crying. "Oh, Tash, I feel like such an idiot. How can I love a man that wants nothing to do with me, especially after that Winx Weekly article?"

OOC: Yay for EBIL! IC: Clye had noticed out of the cornor of her eye that some one had noticed her. She silently cursed. Hopefully no one had realized that she wasn't supposed to be there... She then realized the location of the punch bowl, and did a casual bee line to it. No need to make it in a hurry, that might make her look suspicious. She stuck a hand into her pocket and grasped the small vial of liquid she hid there. Katy was bored. Her friends were all dancing with boys from Red Fountain. Well, but Ortensia who was begging someone to join the prom comitee. After a long while alone, on a corner listening to the music, she decided getting some punch. Near the punch table she saw a boy... A blue haired boy. For some reason, Katy felt that there was something... Odd about him. He was looking worried, or she imagined, bored. Curious, as always, she decided asking him who he was, and maybe, try to find out why he was looking that way. ''Hum... Hi? Something wrong?'' OOC:Hum... If this post makes no sense, warn me and I will delete it ok?

Brandon just smiled and said "Since you asked me to dance, why don't you go ask Steven to dance next? He can't stop staring at you." Now I know I have been spending way to much time with Stella, she is rubbing off on me Brandon inwardly groaned.

Tash slid down beside Chris, "Your not the idiot, he is, if he can't decide between you and that, that thing. And as for the Winx weekly, that is garbage and any one who believes it is nuts."

"I suppose," Christine said quietly. "But has me thinking," she added quietly. "I do like the idea of being married - even if the groom seems to hate the idea." She returned her gaze to her ring. "And it feels strange wearing the ring, but even stranger if I don't." She sniffled softly. "Just what does he see in her that he can't see in me, that he won't see in me?"

Turning her head to see who Brandon was talking about, Karina felt her cheeks flush as she noticed that there was indeed a guy looking in her direction. Looking back at Brandon, she answered nervously, "Maybe I will go ask him to dance. What's the worst that can happen, right?" Hearing the song end, Karina stepped out of Brandon's arms and started to turn away. Pausing, she reached out and squeezed his hand, and said with a gracious smile, "Thanks for the dance."

As she heard a new song begin to play, Layla's face broke out into a smile. Finally - a song that she could dance to without a partner. Feeling the fast paced beat, Layla tapped her foot along, her shoulders and head bobbing to the music.
Making her way out onto the dance floor, Layla started to dance, not caring that her feet were strapped rather painfully into a pair of heels. As she danced, it felt as though everything else was melting away and that it was just her and the beat-
Jolted out of her thoughts by the feel of someone grasping her bare shoulder, Layla whirled around ready to snap at whoever it was. Coming face to face with Sky, Layla's eyes narrowed. In the past she had only tolerated him because he was Bloom's boyfriend, but now that that Weekly Winx article had come out, she couldn't help but feel hostility toward him. No one screwed around behind her friend's back.
Glaring at the Specialist, Layla put her hands on hips and asked with an arched brow, "What do you want?"

"Uhh . . ." Sky said, his voice faltering under Layla's cold stare. "Umm, you see, I was hoping that maybe I could, I mean, we could go somewhere-"

"Go somewhere?" Layla echoed, a look of disgust crossing her face. "Why would I ever do that? Just in case you didn't realize it, I don't hang around people who are jerks to my friends." Giving Sky a pointed look, Layla finished coldly, "I think we both know what I'm talking about."

Sky knew exactly what Layla was talking about: without a doubt, the Winx Weekly article. Glancing around the room, Sky returned his gaze back to Layla. In a pleading tone, he grasped her hand, tugging it against her will as though to pull her out of the room, "Please, Layla. Will you just come with me? I need to talk to you, but I'd rather not do it in here - there are too many people. I don't want any more gossip getting around so please . . . come with me." Seeing that she was still eying him without so much as a hint of warmth, Sky heard himself begging, "Please, Layla. I'm not asking you to go somewhere far away with me - just out into the hall. I swear."

Scowling, Layla shook herself free of Sky's grip. "Fine," she snapped. "Five minutes. You've got five minutes to say whatever you want to say and then I'm coming back in here because I don't intend to let some low-life like you spoil my night."
Brushing past Sky, Layla headed toward the hall, wondering what this could possibly be about and why he needed to speak to her of all people.

In the hallway, Sky suddenly felt nervous. It was so quiet and Layla wasn't giving him anything to work with; she was like a statue, just standing there expressionless. It was clear to him now that she wasn't going to budge an inch because as far as she was concerned, he must be scum, not worthy of being spoken to.
Clearing his throat, Sky began, "I-I, well, I don't really know why I approached you. It's just that, I've been having some trouble with Bloom and I was hoping that maybe you could help me understand what . . . what's wrong with her-"
As soon as the words were out of his mouth, Sky realized his mistake as he saw a wave of fury cross Layla's face.
