Balancing a full-to-the-brim picnic basket on the backseat of his levabike was easy. Balancing a full-to-the-brim picnic basket on the backseat of his moving levabike...not so much.
If Riven, aka the "Levabike King," had been around, Sky was sure he'd have heard some smart remark by now. Fortunately, the day favored him, and the magenta haired specialist was no where to be seen. It wasn't like Sky didn't like his teammate, he quite did, but sometimes the moodiness was too much. Call him the Sunshine Rainbow King, Sky didn't care. What was wrong with just being happy sometimes?
...although, with a girlfriend like Bloom by his side, it was hard not to be happy, well, always. He was sure that someday Riven would find that too. He just wasn't sure that Musa was where he was going to find it. But all things considered, was it really his place to broach that subject? That kind of thing was best left to the individual to discover, he believed.
And so, focusing again on the present moment, Sky began to whistle cheerfully as he set up camp for the day. Would Bloom be impressed when she arrived? He sure hoped so - he'd gone through a lot of trouble making them lunch. Not to mention all the flak he'd received from his peers when they saw him cooking in the school's kitchen...it'd be a while before he lived down the apron.

When Bloom had first gotten the message from Sky to meet him by the lake, Bloom had been... well, suspicious was a bit of a strong word, but she still hadn’t figured out the right one yet. Why didn’t he just pick her up like he normally did? But as the morning progressed, she began to grow more excited. He was planning something, it was the only explanation. A surprise. A surprise just for her. The thought left her practically walking on air, and everyone around her pretty annoyed by her constantly jabbering about it.
But how could she not? She had the most amazing boyfriend in all the worlds. He didn’t come from Earth, didn’t know her cultures or customs, but how often had he surprised her lately by knowing a quote from her favourite movie or a superstition or a fable or so many countless things that? He was obviously spending a lot of time learning all these things for her, and while every day she didn’t think she could love him any more than she already did, he just said one of these things that proved her wrong.
When the time came to meet him, Bloom wasted no time in getting there. Why run, especially in such impractical shoes, when you could fly? Not wanting Sky to know she had cheated, when she spotted him by the lake, she touched down behind the nearest cover and transformed back to her normal outfit, the lack of wings making her appear like just any other girl again. Stepping out from behind the tree, she waved as she approached from a distance.
