Christine settled down in a chair, a blanket draped over her lap and a book settled on her lap. She gave a small sleepy yawn and flipped open the book to the spot she was currently reading. Curse Brandon for giving her these books to work with. She wasn't a practicing spellcaster, so how the hell was she going to fight that spell laid upon Bloom and Sky?
Hell, she somewhat agreed with Disa. Sky was an ass and deserved to be punished for cheating on her. Of course, having Sky being human by day and wolf by night, and Bloom a hawk by day and human by night was a bit extreme.
Agitated for some reason, she picked the book up and threw it away from her. The book hit the wall and landed on the floor, opened to the middle of the book. She swore under her breath. She lowered herself to the ground and "crawled" over to the book. Which was conviently next to her least favorite piece of equipment. She shot the chair a look of death before climbing into it and wheeling herself to the front door.
"Brandon, to what do I owe the pleasure of you and your charming companions?" she asked, gritting her teeth as she smiled up at them.

"Good Evening to you too." Brandon replied, "We just thought we would come by and say hello to you." Brandon grined, he knew that she knew that he was also here to find out what she had learned so far from the books.
OCC:Now that a tongue twister.

Christine awarded Bloom with a tight smile and gave the wolf a brief scratch behind the ears. "All right, all right," she said. "Come in, come in. I'd offer you something to drink but the teapot's dirty and I can't be bothered to clean it at the moment. But, I do have a bowl of fresh water waiting for our favorite wolf."
She wheeled herself inside and didn't bother to see if the others were following, she knew they were. She wheeled herself over to the book and brought it over to the table. "And the ulterior motive for visiting is?"

"To see how you are doing?" Brandon asked, taking a seat at the table.

"If you mean with the research, I'm still working. The books aren't the easiest to translate. I have to go from the book's original language and then translate it into English and then into English I can understand. I'm not a Timmy level genius you know." She sighed. "As for how I'm doing outside of research, I'm... okay," she said, lying. She was not okay. It hurt seeing them do things that she was no longer able to do.

Deciding to stick with the book aspect of it, Brandon felt that Chris would prefer it if they didn't talk about how she was in front of Bloom. "How far along have you come in the books?"

"Found several possibilities, but there's usually a catch. Like, drink the blood of a uincorn, but be cursed in the process. And before you say anything, it was in a book of cursebreaking from *your* homeworld, Brandon."

Brandon coughed, "I admit that we were not the most civilized people but we have progressed greatly over the years." Brandon didn't know what else to say.

She gave a tight smile. "So, is she going to say anything or just sit here and look cute?" She glanced over at the wolf, to see what he was up to after having his bowl of water.

"Thank you for helping us." Bloom tentatively said she knew full well that Christine didn't like her so had kept her mouth shut.

Christine gave a brief nod and returned her attention to the wolf. She just wish that it was the morning so she could talk to him and find out how he was handling his curse.
