Mist stood near a small group of silk fabric, looking down. She smiled slightly at her companions. "I heard the king called Psi for an audience" she picked up a piece of the fabric in her hand. "He's going to tell Lord Psi he has to marry again" Misty looked smug, her father had overheard it all in court the other day.

"Just think, by the end of the week, one of us will be High Lady of court, next in line to be queen" Laura said with a small smile.

[Random NPC]

"And I know just who it's going to be." Candice tossed a lock of her shinning black hair off her shoulder.

"Ha! Don't tell me you mean you." Mia scoffed.

"And why not. I heard that Lord Psi likes dark haired girls." Candice eyes her pale haired sister with disgust.

"Like that retch of a girl before. I'm glad she's gone. An outsider taking Lord Psi. It isn't right." Misty was looking though the fabrics still. "Ohh, I can't wait to have my wedding dress made up"

"And who says he's picking you?" Zoey said with a snide laugh.

[Random NPC]

"Yeah. It could be any one of us." Ellen piped up from where she was looking at some of the biggest and gaudiest broaches ever seen.

"And I suppose you think it's going to be you." Mai said with distain. If anyone was going to have Psi it was going to be her.

"And why not?" Ellen asked putting her hands on her hips

Laura looked at them with disdain. "And what, pray tell, makes you think the great Lord Psi will pick one of you. If anything he will pick either me or Misty. Our family is higher ranking than yours" She shot them a rather snide smirk

[Random NPC]

"That would be all fine and dandy if Lord Psi actually cared about rank." Candice said smugly. "As it is his history of woman tells us he likes us lowly girls better then you highborn lasses."

"Yeah!" Her two sisters agreed.

"Ahh, but now it is the King who is behind this" Misty said. "And we all know his tastes go to class and ranking" She picked up a bolt of lace, but dropped it back down suddenly. "Oh my gosh! There he is!" she ran to the window, which was tinted so those outside couldn't see in.

Zoey was more ladylike in her walking over, soon staring out at Psi as he talked to a merchant.

"I can not wait for the day that he is my husband, and I am a queen to be"

[Random NPC]

"WHERE!" The three sisters ran to the window tripping over each other.

Tori sighed, turning back to the white silk she'd been looking at. It was always the same with these girls, any hunky guy and they would immediatly start arguing and fighting about who would be his wife. And if it their little competitions got as far as court then they'd spend the whole season trying to outdo eachother whether it be the fashion they wore or the way they through themselves at whatever poor soul they had their sights set on. As for her... well she would just be happy as some tailor's or farmers wife. Tori sighed too bad she had to be born into the family she was, then she could just live the simple quiet life and do away with all this pomp and pagentry.

"Ohhh my, look at that ring he's buying!" Misty said, closing her eyes. "I'm sure it's a perfect fit for my finger. And when I am queen, all you can stay out of my palace!"

Zoey was getting rather annoyed with her. "Will you just put a sock in it you arrogant little wench. No way is Lord Psi going to marry you with that attitude."

[Random NPC]

Candice grinned at Misty evilly. "She's right you know."

"She sure is. As if Lord Psi would even consider someone like you." Mai agreed with a condisending tone.

"It's not just her attitude it's her looks. She's like a big bird." Ellen said snidely

Ellen got the full force of Misty's anger in the form of a very loud slap. "How dare you! I am still the highest ranking lady besides my mother! You should treat me with the respect my birth has given me, or face life as social outcasts!"

[Random NPC]

Mia just burst out laughing at her sister's face.

"She hit me." Ellen said scandalized, tears staring to form.

"Well you deserved it." Tori said quietly. The other girls didn't seem to hear her though, she sighed again. paying for her purchase and made her way out onto the busy street. Might as well just head home herself, those six'd be going at it for hours now.

"Oh stop being such a crybaby. Lord Psi will never want you if all you do is blubber." Candice snapped at her sister. "And you," she turned to Misty, "good show." she finished grinning.

Zoey watched as Tori left. But narrowed her eyes as Lord Psi made his way over to her as she left. "Girls stop fighting and look at this!" She cried to them.

Outside psi had walked over to Tori, and bowed. "Good Day Lady Tori" he said, smiling slightly at her in his way. "it has been awhile since I last saw you"

[Random NPC]

"Oh." Tori exclaimed in surprise looking up at Lord Psi. "Ummm. Lord Psi." She curtsied, "Hello again my Lord and yes it has been. May I inquire as to how you have been My Lord?" she asked keeping her eyes downcast, Lord Psi was of a higher station then her after all, it wouldn't be appropriate to look him in the face.

Meanwhile inside the shop:
"That little WENCH!"

"How dare she talk to Lord Psi like that." Mia growled.

"Yeah. It's so informal...the scandal." Ellen said worriedly.
