It had been near a week before Psi could get himself out of his room. And even then he was rather slow and not himself. But he had been summoned to see the King, and at the moment, his title was all he had left. So after a good meal, the first in the week, and a bath. He was soon dressed and ready to go.
It had taken him a bit more time, but as he walked into the palace, he showed not a single sign that his heart had broke.

The king looked up when Psi walked into his chambers, the king felt this was going to go better with just the two of them. "Psi, how are you feeling today?" he quietly asked knowing that Psi already knew about the story he told everyone about Tash's death, in reality she had vanished on them.

Psi bowed to the King. "I am just fine your Highness" he straightened up. "please forgive my shortness, your highness, but I assume you have called me here for a different reason than to see how I'm doing. And I do find myself with much work I need to see to now"

"Your my cousin, I am worried about how your holding up after the unfortunate event that took such a delightful young lady from us." The king commented as he studied Psi. "But the reason I called you here instead of coming to see you is that I know you used the unforgivable spell on me and I know why you did it. Why you did it and the fact that you are my cousin have stopped me from taking the regular actions against the spell." The king paused to see what reaction he was going to get for what he had said so far.

Psi had no reaction at all, felt no remorse or anything. "Then I feel I must be grateful." He said with a small bow. "She was the first and only woman that I felt equal to me. And she would have suited well here."

The king didn't think so, in fact after that little episode of hers when she informed him if she didn't get her way then well it was more of she was getting her way.
"I'm sure she would have. But the reason I forced an audience out of you when your in mourning is that as I'm sure you have guessed by now, I am unable to have children of my own which would make you next in line. As such I have arranged your marriage to one of our ladies; I know you are missing Lady Tash however as High Lord you need to put Muna before yourself. The stability of Everly will one day rest in your hands."

He did not look happy at that. "Did you pick the shrew yourself.. or do I get the torture of picking" He asked, barely able to hide his disdain

The king just grinned, "You get to pick, I have to do something for your use of the spell."

Psi growled slightly. He would play that this bothered him. But in reality the king had done him a huge favor. For he knew who he would pick. The only of the ladies daughters that was worth the air she breathed

"But I do get finally say." The king added, for the most part Psi could pick any of the Ladies. The King didn't really care as long as she was from the right social class and from Everly. The part Psi didn't know was that the girls knew Psi was to pick one of them. It was going to be interesting.
