"You mean you are actually going to do it?" Eris-an asked, this was a change. In the past if you even mentioned the words song and crowd in the same sentence Kevyn would be the first one to run away.

"Don't sound so surprised, Kevyn had a lovely voice." Kaelin said giving Kevyn's hand a reassuring squeeze.

"It'll be easier on my health if I do." Kevyn replied starting to make her way through the crowd, "Besides I can just make them pay me back later, and you damn well can bet that the price will be high." she called back.
~Up on Stage~ Kevyn came to stand infront of the crowd, the announcer handed her the mic. She faced the crowd relieved that the club was dark, at least she didn't have to face them in the light. The music started. And after a bit of a shaky start Kevyn grew a bit more confidence and threw herself into the music:
Got in this morning at four a.m. You're as mad as you can be Well I was drinking and talking and you know how that goes Time just slipped away from me By the time I knew what time it was It was too late to call home Stop carrying on acting like a child I wasn't doing anything wrong
Guys do it all the time And you expect us to understand When the shoe's on the other foot You know that's when it hits the fan Get over it, honey, life's a two way street Or you won't be a man of mine So I had some beers with the girls last night Guys do it all the time
I know I left my clothes all over the place And I took your twenty bucks No I didn't get the front yard cut 'Cause I had to wash my truck Will you bring me a cold one, baby And turn on the TV We'll talk about this later There's a ball game I wanna see
Guys do it all the time And you expect us to understand When the shoe's on the other foot You know that's when it hits the fan Get over it, honey, life's a two way street Or you won't be a man of mine So I had some beers with the girls last night Guys do it all the time
You look like you just took a long look in the mirror Tell me baby if things don't look a whole lot clearer
Get over it, honey, life's a two way street Or you won't be a man of mine So I had some beers with the girls last night Guys do it all the time Yeah, guys do it Yeah, guys do it All the time, all the time Yeah, guys do it Yeah, guys do it
Afterward Kevyn quickly handed the mic back to the announcer and started to make her way off stage.

OOC: invited Christine settled down in a chair, watching the show. For once she wasn't working, oh hell, she saw the announcer look her way. She quickly shook her head no, hoping that he wouldn't rope her into this show. Because there was no way in hell she was taking part in a karaoke contest.

The announcer gave a wicked grin as he thanked Kevyn. "Thank you Kevyn and the next contestant is our very own Christine."

Christine rose up from her chair and made her way to the stage. She fixed the announcer with a look that would have made him a smear on the pavement. She shook her hair, trying to get it to lie nicely.
"In a dream I see a world meant for me, wrapped in mystery, the waves sing to me. And so, I will follow a falling star, to find out who I am and who you are. Come along, it can't be very far. The waves are singing.
Mmhmm, I see a butterfly dancing on the wind, mmhmm merging with the sky. It's time to begin. And so, I will follow a falling star, to find out who I am and who you are. Come along, you know it can't be very far.
Don't look in the tower! It's not where I'll be! On a shore, by the waves, windswept and free. I'll be free! And so, I will follow a falling star, to find out who I am and who you are. Come along, you know it can't be very far. The waves. They sing to me," she sang, her voice pure.

OOC: Stella's not performing, she's just watching Sitting in the audience, Stella idly ran her finger around the rim of her glass as she said, turning to Layla and Flora, "It's too bad that Musa isn't here - she'd take it home in a way no one else could even dream of doing." With a relaxed smile, Stella leaned back in her seat, enjoying the general ambiance of the club environment and the company of her friends. Coming here had been her idea because, truth be told, she had been feeling a little guilty about her behavior as of late and she wanted desperately to make things right with the girls. So far, the night had been proceeding wonderfully and she mentally crossed her fingers that it would stay that way.

"I agree. Lady Kevyn I never knew you had such a good voice." Eris-an grinned at the scowling girl.

Thank you." Kevyn said to Eris-an as she sat back down, grabbing her mug and tossing the drink back in one gulp. "And actually no it wasn't." She answered Kaelin, "I think I might actually enjoy tonight." Kevyn smiled.

Kevyn chose not to reply, rather she chose to give into the temptation to stick her tongue out at him before turning her attention to the stage again. Applauding Chris, now there was a girl that could sing, unlike her horrid voice. She sighed, oh well at least people didn't hate it enough to stare at her or Gods forbid start to 'boo', if she could just keep that in mind she might make it through tonight.
