: Brian had heard about his lady's condition and was less then pleased. If only she had accepted his courtship, he would have kept her safe from all this nonsense. Really, a lady like her, a fairy princess no less, keeping company with men that were far beneath her station. It wasn't that he was jealous - far from it. Overprotective, yes. Overbearing, well, his mother did accuse him of such - more then once, to his growing regret. But he just wanted what was best for his lady. Well, the one good thing about her condition meant that she wouldn't hit him for referring to her as his lady. She had made it quite clear that since they were cousins after a fashion, that she was not interested in him at all romantically. Of course, the fact that he was nearing thirty had nothing to do with her decision - at least, that was what Brian believed. He thought she was just being her usual stubborn self and refusing to listen to reason. Of course, it then came to his attention that his lady had been expressing some interest in one of her classmates, who was just a year or two older then her. He grimmaced to himself, he was not going to lose her like his father lost Melisande. He'd see this prince that captured his lady's heart and judge whether or not he was worthy. That was his sole reason for leaving the Magic Realm. Of course, the fact that the prince had been merged with Gorbash was just another reason. He approached the dragon's "lair" silently, and sized him up. From what he had heard, the dragon wasn't doing well in learning how to be a dragon. "And he's the one that Antiquity has chose to lead the quest?" Brian asked himself. "That child? What good is he?" OOC: tags Sky, Brandon, Rashiel (who asked, and who am I to deny a request)

Rashiel had snuck into the general area of the Dragon Arena. A move that probably wasn't the most thought out, considering how bad things could get. However, if there was any way for her to pick up some sort of idea as to how to pick up fighting skills, this was it. After all, mimicry was one of the best ways that you could learn something, or rather, it was in Rashiel's opinion.
However, as she carefully watched from her hiding spot, some one had just entered. She was a bit perplexed, since this person certainly didn't look like one of the students. A teacher, perhaps?
Rashiel quickly looked about to see if she could get closer without getting caught. In a quick dash, she moved closer, but not without making a sound. A thud could be heard as she crashed into something, and she cursed inwardly.

: If there was anything Brian learned while questing, it was that his armor was sure to make him stand out. Of course, that was usually not a good thing - but you know, he really didn't care. >Thud!< His head whipped around when he heard the noise. His hand dropped to his sheath and his left hand settled on the hilt of his sword. "One of these days, just one of these days, I'd like to go visit my cousin without having to be drawn into something," he muttered under his breath.

Rashiel bit her lip, having seen Brian's reaction. Which would be the safest response? To hide and hope that he hadn't figured out or come out immediately. Which would be the least likely to get her stabbed or slashed...?
She quickly stood up and revealed herself, moving into plain sight. Now all that was left was to hope that he wasn't one of those "assume the worst and attack on sight" people.
"No need to attack! I'm not going to attack!" She called out. "Well, so long as you don't attack first..." She muttered under her breath.

: "All that's holy," Brian swore under his breath. Tact was another thing he hadn't quite learned. "Another woman in this school? And I thought my cousin was the only female that was insane." Yep, tact thy name was not Brian. Of course, that meant he was going to be hit by his cousin - once she had recovered.

She blinked in surprise at hearing this. There... was a girl at Red Fountain? Impossible. That'd never be allowed.
"Wait... There's a female specialist? Now there's a new one." She snickered in response. "Are you sure that you're not the one who's insane? I sincerely doubt that they'd let a woman enroll here."

: Brian shook his head. "Her name is Christine but she insists on being called Chris. And believe me, she attends here. She couldn't stop talking about how the elite school for heroes accepted her. Lordie, that woman can talk." He gave a wry grin. "Of course, one of the reasons I'm here is to see her and take her home to the Magic Realm. Where she belongs. Not this crazy place." He said, gesturing to Red Fountain. "Of course, the fact that Gorbash is here only increased my need to be here. He's over there," he said, gesturing at Sky.

Rashiel sighed and shook her head. “Wow… I guess they really aren’t big on background checks on their students… Although, I don’t blame her for being interested or excited about being accepted to Red Fountain. It IS a prestigious school, so don’t sound so disdainful about it. If she’s happy to be here, then there’s nothing wrong with having happy family members. And as far as your dragon goes, I know nothing about it. The name isn’t familiar, but then again, I don’t know your cousin.”
She moved to get a slightly better look at Sky. “Well, he looks peaceful enough for now…”

"Ah, where are my manners? I'm Sir Brian Neville-Smythe. My cousin is Princess, Lady, whatever, Christine Strongheart," Brian said, dipping into a deep bow. He gave her a wry grin. "I don't fault her wishes - I just wish she had stayed at home. I don't trust these men." He glanced over at Sky/Gorbash. "Let's just say - I'm not too fond of him."

Rashiel's mind raced slightly. The correct response was a curtsey, wasn’t it? She honestly hadn’t paid much attention in etiquette class unless she had to. She smiled politely as she began her introduction.
“Ah… I’m Princess Rashiel Armatus of Vulcania. It’s a pleasure to meet you…” She quickly did a shallow curtsey, which made her look rather awkward.
“I can understand the worry. If she returns, maybe something can be arranged for her to stay at Alfea or an apartment where she can stay instead of the dorms. At the very least, the privacy issue would be solved then. And what is your problem with that dragon? Unless she’s always down here, I doubt he’d be a serious threat to her.”

: "She was always down here until her accident. The team she was a member of had to deal with sand merks and she was struck down by their chattering," Brian said, his voice weakening for a moment. "Uncle Peter told us the doctors here aren't sure if she'll ever awaken again." He cleared his throat. "Old family history with Gorbash. Although, last I heard someone accidentally merged a prince with him. I merely wish to get to know the prince and see if he's worth having my cousin continue to associate with him - once she's recovered that is."

"Oh, my... That's an awful thing to have happen. You have my sympathy. I hope she does recover soon. I think one of the girls at Alfea had a run in with some of those, but was lucky enough to be rescued before any harm took place." She looked a little pale and somber for the moment. She wondered for a moment if her father must have felt like that while her mother was dying. She quickly moved onto to another thought.
"So that Dragon is actually part of a Prince? That's a bit of a shock. I can only wonder what he did to deserve that happening to him."

"Thank you," Brian said quietly. "And I hope she recovers. She is my cousin and one of my dearest friends. I should have been there, I am her champion and all." He gave a bit of an embarrassed smile. "I had promised to marry her - when she was old enough of course, but she refuses to accept that - saying that since we're cousins, it just wouldn't work." Brian glanced over at Gorbash/Sky. "From what I heard, another dragon took interest in making little prince pancakes and that the dragon he got merged with was trying to save him."

"Your cousin sounds like a very lucky woman, having someone who cares so deeply for her. " She nodded her head.
"And that has got to be a very lucky prince... Although, I imagine it must be very awkward to suddenly go from being yourself to suddenly being a part of someone else. Was there any reason why he was attacked and not someone else?"

: Brian decided he was going to get comfortable and sat down. "No, no idea. My only guess is that Ommadon somehow got it into his head that the prince was going to be selected as the leader of the quest to retrieve his crown and decided to end the quest before it even started." He looked over at Gorbash/Sky. "Uncle Peter is supposed to be teaching him how to be a dragon, but so far, well, it's not working out at all. He just doesn't want to learn. Perhaps after hearing about what happened to my cousin, his teammate, perhaps he'll get the urge to actually learn."
