 : Wolf sat perched on a fence, watching the dragons spaz at the sight and scent of a very feral werewolf. Oh, that was priceless. He wondered if he could steal an egg and get a few good meals in. That little female gave him a real work out, and something he found himself enjoying. He missed the excitement of a real battle - and he hoped his littlest would give him a nice fight. After all, he had taken on his mate and had nearly killed her. His amber eyes flicked down the path and spotted something. His son and the male annoyance that dumped water on him all those years ago. Brandon and Sky were scooting for what was setting the dragons off when Brandon heard a voice he has spent years praying he would never have to hear again. Brandon pulled his broad sword out of his sheath and put his guard up. "I was so hoping the last time was the only time we were ever going to have to see you."

Drawing out his sword, Sky replied threateningly, "Get out of here, Wolf if you want to keep your life. I'm older these days and I can take you out; so I swear, take so much as one more step forward and you're dead. I promised Christine I wouldn't go after you and I won't - unless you try to attack me. That way, I won't be breaking my promise, now will I?" Raising a brow, Sky sneered, "And you know me, Wolf, I always stand by my word."

"Do not presume to think that I am at all like you," Sky hissed. "We are not alike. You are evil and you hurt innocent people for pleasure, for some sick thrill that it gives you; I would never do that. I may have had some despicable curse cast on me that makes me look like you every once in a while, but do not be confused. We are nothing alike. And I swear, if I could have the curse removed, I would do it in a heartbeat because I would enjoy nothing as much as I would enjoy having this link to you severed for good."

Brandon stood beside Sky and waited for his order in regards to the wolf. Brandon wanted nothing more then to destroy it on the spot but he also knew that this one had to be Sky's decision.

"You're dead, Wolf," Sky said ferociously, his eyes narrowed, as he lunged forward, his sword aimed directly at the beast's heart. "Christine is my friend and what you did to her . . . you're dead."

"What makes you think I'm trying to undo my curse by killing you?" Sky sneered as he moved forward, watching Wolf carefully to ensure that he wouldn't have the opportunity to pull anything over him.

Sky shook his head as he replied flatly, "I'm not a fool enough to think that you would ever help me get rid of my curse - so why should I let you stick around when I have another option: to have you out of my life for good. I've learned to deal with my curse, but yes, if I could, I would get rid of it - but you? I will never learn to coexist with you." Without taking his eyes off of Wolf, Sky said to Brandon, "Let's end this once and for all."

"They can't touch Christine if I kill them first," Sky replied without missing a beat. "I have no loyalty to them; I do have loyalty to Christine. She's my friend and I will protect her at all costs and right now, you're the threat."
