OOC: This takes place in the summer prior to the start of Season 2.
"Good afternoon; Teen Fairy Magazine; how may I help you?" Stella asked the caller on the other end of the line as she adjusted her earpiece. "Oh, hello, Mr. Stone . . . yes, of course I will direct your call to her immediately. One moment please." With a few agile movements of her fingers against the phone's buttons, Stella deftly transferred the client to her boss's line, something that had become second nature to her in the week that she had been interning at the company.
Hanging up the phone, Stella stretched behind her desk as she yawned, feeling mildly bored. Somehow, this internship was not at all what she had been expecting; she had thought that landing this position would be fantastic and fun . . . but so far all she had been assigned to do was answer phones and get her boss's coffee. It certainly wasn't exactly the glamour she had been hoping for. But it had only been a week - perhaps things would get better soon. Wryly, Stella laughed to herself; they had better or else she was doomed to two months and three weeks of boredom - something that was next to unthinkable in her world.
Jolted out of her thoughts by the sound of the phone ringing once again, Stella quickly picked up the receiver as she recited, "Good afternoon; Teen Fairy Magazine; how may I help you?"
"Stella! How are you, darling?" a familiar melodious voice at the other end of the line questioned.
Frozen for a moment in surprise, Stella finally managed to utter a strangled, "Mother."
