“Forcati ventae fortunatae ex rikei Oberonus. Et hic nobis frugum regatae et ordae Avalones!” the female voice rang out. Her pink hair whipped around her features as the wind began to pick up as she recited the ancient spell – summoning to her a way to go back to the world she was from. She disliked being among the other students – none fully understood her or even bothered to learn why she looked different then them. Her green eyes fixed on the figure approaching with the boat. “Is Father well, my cousin?” she asked, brushing her pink hair off of her face, a smile on her features as she saw her cousin guiding the skiff in.
“As well as to be expected after your mother was murdered by that coven of witches during that attack on Avalon,” the white haired male said, hopping off the boat and coming to stand before the teal skinned maiden. “Still hiding under the disguise of a normal girl?” ‘Or as normal a girl can look with teal skin and pink hair. Her parents don’t exactly have the most normal skin tones,’ Puck thought looking at his cousin.
“Of course,” she responded dryly, rolling her eyes. “Like I want these mortals to know that the daughter of Lord Oberon, King of the Fae of Avalon, is attending the illustrious Alfea School for Fairies,” she said sarcastically. “And so help me, the next prissy fairy to piss me off is getting their ass kicked from here to Avalon and back again, that is if Avalon doesn’t send them on a World Tour first.”
“Ah, I see you inherited your father’s temper, Idril,” Puck said, massaging a temple as he glanced at the fuming elfin princess. “And his attitude.” He hid the rolling of his eyes as he watched her fume.
“So what if I have pink hair! Mother had pink hair, no one complained about her having pink hair. So what if my skin is teal! What do you expect when my father has blue and my mother had green? I mean peaches and cream would be nice but given the genes I’m working with, it’s not going to happen unless I *will* my genes to turn like that.” She huffed again – trying very hard not to have a temper tantrum, something she hadn’t had since she was four.
“Will you calm down, Idril?” Puck asked, trying to send his cousin calming vibes. “Blowing up at me is not going to help you problem.” ‘Remind me to switch her to decaf,’ he thought watching her. “You’re about as bad as your half-sister.”
“Don’t remind me,” Idril sighed. “And how is Janine?”
“It’s Fox, remember?” Puck said, walking behind his cousin and started to play with her hair. He affectionately nipped her neck, waiting for the purr that was bound to come once someone showed her some trace amount of affection.
Idril purred softly at the gentle touch of her cousin. She was spoiled rotten when it came to him. Oberon hadn’t been too thrilled to learn that the trickster had been courting his daughter, but there was little he could do about it.
