OOC: Continuation of Freedom
Christine was limping badly by now but somehow managed to help Stella walk inside Alfea. "There has got to be a better way of doing this," she muttered to herself, struggling with the dead weight. Hopefully, Stella would wake up soon and actually be able to help her.
She paused outside a door and shifted Stella's weight to free an arm up to knock on the door. She knocked at the door, each knock more and more frantic then the last. "Professor!?" she called, her voice frantic, scared. "Professor! It's an emergency!"
Oh, she hoped whoever it was was in. She needed help - and so did Stella.
Why wasn't the person answering?! Stella needed help. Getting thwacked with a sword wasn't good. And especially to the back of one's head.
"Professor!" she screamed.

Hearing the commotion outside his room, Palladium rose from his desk and flung open the door, his eyes widening at the battered sight of Stella and a girl he did not recognize. Worry shooting across his face, Palladium immediately lifted Stella's limp body into his arms and laid her gently on the long wood bench that was located against the wall nearby.
Turning to the other girl, he held out his arm to lend her support as he asked, "My god, what happened? And who are you?"

"Congratulations, professor. You've met the Red Fountain seer," she said weakly, hissing as the ache from her broken leg returned. "We had a close encounter with tall, dark and evil otherwise known as Prince Sky." She leaned heavily against the professor. "He hit her in the back of the head with his sword. Me? I have a few bruises from him trying to keep me from escaping again. Broke my leg when I escaped."
OOC: whoo! Hit 900 as Chris

Abruptly turning away from the seer, Palladium walked over to his desk and picked up the phone. Deftly punching a few numbers, he then held the receiver to his ear as he tapped his foot impatiently. Hearing the voice on the other end pick up, Palladium cleared his throat as he began, "Nurse Ofelia? Yes, this is Professor Palladium. I have two young ladies here who need immediate care; could you please come down to my room at once? Thank you."
Hanging up the phone, Palladium walked back over the girl as he gestured for her to take a seat at one of the desks. Crossing his arms over his chest, he frowned as he replied, "Prince Sky did this, you say? I suppose I should have guessed as much . . . very well. Tell me, do you know where he is now? Rather, is he coming here now?"
OOC: Congratulations! *throws confetti*

"He's in the forest, currently down for the count. He broke free for a bit and told me to knock him out," she said, staring at her hands. "He was more interested in taking me prisoner again so he could find the Codex. I was forced to reveal the room but I couldn't tell him where the room was," she admitted. "I don't know Alfea at all so having me say it's in such and such a room but I have no idea where said room is."
Her blue eyes closed. "I'm sorry, Professor."

Palladium shook his head as he replied, "Do not apologize for none of this was any fault of yours." Falling silent for a moment, Palladium then continued wryly, "From the very first moment that Alfea's piece of the Codex was hidden within our walls, this potential for battle was in the making; it was only a matter of when. Obviously, that time has come at last. We will be prepared though. Worry not for as we speak, Ms. Faragonda, the principal, and Ms. Griselda, the vice principal, are working to secure the Archives where the Codex is located." Walking back over to Stella to check on her, Palladium asked over his shoulder, "Now, what did you say your name is?"

"Christine. Christine Strongheart," she said quietly. "Ah, titles, right. Lady Christine Strongheart, daughter of the seer Princess Melisande." She blushed sheepishly. "Or, as the gossip papers would lead you to believe, Sky's wife." She cleared her throat. "Stella... Is she okay?"

Palladium laughed softly for the first time in what felt like ages. In a friendly tone, he replied, "I sympathize with you, Lady Strongheart." Glancing at her over his shoulder, Palladium raised a brow humorously as he whispered in a conspiratorial tone, "I too am often a subject of the tabloids."
Looking back down at the fairy sprawled on the bench, Palladium said, "As for Stella, I think she'll recover soon enough. You'd be surprised how quickly she can jump back on her feet after facing hardship; without a doubt, she is most certainly the definition of a trooper - so I wouldn't worry too much."

Christine nodded, grateful that the professor had told her some good news. "I hope Alfea can protect the Codex better then Red Fountain... Sky captured their codex and gave it to Darkar." She allowed a few bitter tears streak down her face. "He really did a number to our team. He... He hurt Riven pretty badly."

Palladium nodded grimly, as he replied, "For all of our sakes, I hope we can." Quietly he continued, "If Darkar manages to open the portal to Realix . . . well, let's just say that it will be a disaster without hope for relief. Regardless though, I assure you, we will not let Darkar kidnap you again."

"Thank you," Christine said, feeling a weight being lifted off her shoulders. "That takes a small load off my mind." She paused. "Darkar knows the pieces needed, knows the order to collect them, but he doesn't know how to open the portal. I refused to tell him that." She gave a small smile. "I tried not to give him any information that would help him."

Palladium returned the smile warmly. "You did good, Christine. We couldn't have asked for more -"
Hearing a groaning sound coming from the bench, Palladium returned his attention to Stella, who had begun to stir and slowly sit up. Giving Christine a pointed look, he tilted his head in Stella's direction as he said, "See? I told you she'd be all right."
