Age: 17
Powers: As the resident digital fairy, Tecna has a variety of powers and though she may not be the most powerful fairy (e.g. the dark magic surrounding Darkar's lair would far too strong for her to resist/it would quickly deplete her energy), that is not to say that her powers are something laughable. The majority of her powers, however, seem to be rooted in defense - e.g. her specialty is putting up shields (such as the Fire Wall Shield) that block/reflect attacks. Tecna also has a navigational system that she can utilize to locate people.

Known Family: I'm going to go with what the comics depict and say that Tecna's family include her father and her mother; however, I'm going to stick with the show and say that she is not a royal.
Hobbies and pastimes: Studying, studying, and more studying
Favorite music: Classical
Favorite foods: Healthy veggie snacks - Tecna's got to stay in tip-top shape if her brain is going to function to the best of its ability, after all!
Bio: Analytical. Logical. Ambitious. Perfectionist. Stubborn. All of those words describe Tecna to a tee. And though she doesn't necessarily mean to be that way/purposefully strive to drive others out of their minds with her constant references to facts, statistics and so forth, it's just who she is. Of course, her friends have influenced her quite a bit and as time has passed, Tecna's lightened up a little bit and can actually *gasp* enjoy taking a break every once in a while. Not often, mind you - but just enough to stay in the loop of what's going on with everyone. Still, as much as Tecna knows that she can be a little straitlaced, she prefers being seen as an overachiever infinitely more than she would enjoy being viewed as a slacker.
It is because of this that Tecna has found herself slowly drifting away from the other members of the Winx Club. She enjoys their company well enough but sometimes she finds them a bit too frivolous. Especially after Bloom, the glue of the group, vanished, Tecna no longer found a reason to stay in touch with them and kind of went her own way. However, now that Bloom has made her return, Tecna finds herself wondering if perhaps she gave up on her friends too soon.

And since I'm a mod, I'm going to skip the rest of the application process; however, I just wanted to put it out there formally that Layla's back on the market if anyone wants to pick up her role. As much as I love her as a character, I just don't feel like I can write her very well these days/it doesn't seem like there's really anything for her to do/I kind of feel like I have a monopoly on popular main characters - so if anyone wants her, feel free to PM me. I'll keep her account active until someone speaks up so that if it's a while before anyone says anything, I'll still be able to post as her if a situation calls for her presence.
