Name: Layla
Age: 17
Powers: Water-based
Originally from: Realm of Tides/Andros
Known Family: Unknown
Hobbies and pastimes: Playing sports/being active
Favorite music: Anything upbeat
Favorite foods: Layla isn't overly picky when it comes to food; although, she does prefer when the food ends up in her mouth and not on her head.
Bio: Layla is the newest member of the Winx Club, but nevertheless, she fits right in with the other girls. She is rather level-headed and strong, which can, at times, make her seem bossy or even rude - but more often than not, she doesn't mean to be. She simply has a dominant personality. Don't be mistaken, though; Layla is also an extremely devoted and loyal friend.
And in the Interview:
Who do you want to play?: Layla
Why?: Since her debut, I liked her. In my opinion, she's one of the more realistic characters on the show and that simply makes her more enjoyable to me than other characters that are one-dimensional in comparison. For this reason, I think she'd be a fun character to play/develop - and because she's not static, I doubt I would get tired of her.
Have you ever RP before? Where?: I can't say that I have RP before, but I do enjoy writing and interacting with others, so I think I'll have my first (hopefully successful) try at it here.
How many times would you say you should post a day?: It really depends on how often the other people post. However, I do think it'd be nice if people could at least post several times a day; but it also depends on what kind of post the person is making. For example, if I wrote a lengthy post one day and a few bits of dialogue with others, I think that would be perfect. But so as long as the board stays active, I'll be satisfied
Do you mean to stick with this site (in other words, will you NOT quit after a month or two?): Of course I'll stick with the board; I might have to take some time off every once in a while due to school, but I'll do my best to post whenever possible - but because I always have to use the computer for something, I'm pretty sure I can manage to stay active for most periods of time.
Please write a sample post for the character you want below:
The more Layla thought about that morning's breakfast period, the tenser and more restless she grew. Ever since then she had begun to feel more and more curious. Her hands had begun to twitch and as she sat on her bed she noticed how her legs seemingly began to spontaneously jingle up and down, back and forth against the floor. Wryly, she wondered if someone had had an incentive to poison her.
But in honesty, it hadn't even been a particularly strange or special breakfast - no exciting event was approaching, nothing disastrous had happened. Nevertheless, that morning had been . . . different. She had entered the dining hall with the other girls: Musa had been telling an anecdote about how she had received an unexpected, but entirely welcome call, from her father. Stella had complained for the millionth time about having to travel back to Solaria for the upcoming weekend to see her parents when all she wanted to do was spend time with Brandon. And Bloom, well Bloom, had exuberated absolute enthusiasm, as usual.
No, it had certainly been a typical Friday morning, but something was still off. Layla couldn't place it and it bothered her immensely; she didn't like the nagging, uneasy feeling not knowing gave her. She would much rather know, even if that meant knowing something unpleasant. At least when she knew she would find some way to deal, but right then, in her present state, she felt helpless. Utterly helpless.
Sighing deeply, Layla flopped back on her bed, pulling her legs up from the floor in order to curl into a comforting fetal position with her pillow scrunched tightly to her chest.
She could feel it already: it was going to be a long day - a long, unfocused day.
