I hope you can see me soon Flora, Helia thought. Oh how badly he wished he could know what happened and that he could talk. If he could talk, the things that he'd say, oh the things he would say to sweet Flora. I would say most anything I feel for Flora, I'd probably be somewhat embarrased, but I would still say it.

She sighed quietly. "I bet you're wondering why I can't see, little nutcracker," she said softly. "Well," she started. She placed him on the table so the nutcracker was safe from being dropped. "Professor Palladium got trapped in a mirror and was unable to communicate. Well, to make a long story short, I cast a spell that would allow him to communicate with us, but.. the price was my vision." She reached for the doll and took him off the table and held him in her arms, positioning him in her arms so it was like she was holding a baby. "I'm hoping that the professor and his friend can restore my vision - I would love to see you."

Flora, you are such a sweet girl, you gave your vision for Professor Palladium. I bet you've been called sweet before, Helia thought. He felt something wet run down his cheek. He didn't know if he could cry, if it was starting to rain, if it was Flora, or something else. The only thing he knew was that he was a water drop rolling down his toy face.

"Oh, I'm getting you wet," she said, moving one hand up to wipe her eyes. "I'm so sorry." She picked up a handkerchief and gently blotted his face. "I don't want to ruin you, little nutcracker." She turned to "look" at the professor. "What do you think of him?" she asked quietly. "And... can you tell me what he looks like?"

Palladium stared at the toy figure and frowned. Something seemed a little . . . off about the gift. He couldn't quite place his finger on what was bothering him about the toy . . . it was almost as though it was giving off a vibe of being alive - but that wasn't possible. He was probably just being paranoid.
Palladium glanced at Flora, watching as she traced the figure's face with her fingers gently. Deciding it best to withhold his opinion of the toy, Palladium settled on describing its appearance. "Well, let's see; I think it is a relatively normal looking nutcracker toy - about the size of a pixie, would be my best guess. It's wearing a black hat and it's clothing is mostly red with a few flecks of gold and it has a rather odd shaped nose . . ."

OOC: there will be a better avatar for Helia, I promise. I just ordered the DVD of the Nutcracker Prince - so very cheap. $6.99 + $6 and some change for the shipping, so roughly $13 for the DVD "It must have cost Helia a small fortune," Flora said, running her fingers over it. "I can't feel any rough edges that you'd find with wood." She smiled. "Can you explain what you mean by odd shaped nose? I'm confused."

OOC: I just ordered today so they need time to ship it - possibly later in the month. But I picked two-day shipping so it should be here sooner then that IC: Flora paused a moment, suddenly confused by something. She remembered asking the professor what he thought of her nutcracker and he hadn't answered. "Professor?" she asked, her voice taking an odd tone, almost if there was humor laced in it. "You're not jealous of my nutcracker, are you?" Now that in its self was amusing. Really, surely he couldn't be jealous. After all, her heart did belong to him - even if he wasn't aware of it. Besides, it wasn't like the nutcracker could return any affection to her, right?
