Talya smiled a bit, "If the contracts were not already drawn and signed then there would be no problem, but as it is they are technically bonded they just have not gone threw the actual ceremony yet."

Engagments on our world are like a pre-marriage if you will, it mean you are...." she paused searching for the word in the common language, " 'put on reserve' until the time of your wedding date." Talya tried to explain, "Forgive me I can't really explain it in your language any better."
