Christine was curled up on one of the sofas in the main lounge, a pile of magazines scattered about her. Scraps of paper littered the table next to her, all filled with various little sketches of dresses. Other scraps of paper had phone numbers jotted down - and names of people that she had spoken to as she plotted and planned and tried to get this to work. She had her headphones on, listening to a few tracks, jotting down ideas on paper, as she plotted and planned a few dozen things.
Who knew planning a second wedding for her uncle and aunt would be so headache inducing? Flowers, gowns, music, food. All of which required her careful attention - no expense was going to be spared. She wanted this wedding for Uncle Jules and Aunt Mali to be one that they'd never forget.
Of course, she thought with an amused smile on her features, the look on Sky's face whenever he caught her with one of her magazines made all the headaches she got worth it. Never did she see him turn red so quickly or stammer so fastly. She laughed softly before the laughter turned into a cough spasm that wracked her now fragile body. Both Saladin and Cordatorta had expressed concern over her sudden illness and insisted that she remain out of dragon wrangling - no matter how much she protested.
At least Sky was taking care of her baby for her, which pleased her - slightly. And Sky had been known to sneak her down to just visit, which appeased her ever so slightly.
Slowly, she returned her attention back to her reading material, her eyes fixed on a paragraph going on and on about the various meanings of flowers and trying to pick out what would be perfect for Aunt Mali's bouquet.
That, of course, meant that she didn't hear the footsteps approaching, until she heard the eager bark of Lady to see her master.
