Christine curled up close to Sky, her head resting against his chest, feeling more content she had felt in a life time. "Hmm," she murmured sleepily. "Cozy," she said, snuggling close in his arms. "I don't want to move, can't make me."
Their first date had been sheer bliss and while they haven't actually told the others what had happened, it was pretty clear by her bliss filled expression what had happened - at least, if they were paying attention to the lovebirds.
She turned over slightly, her dark hair spilling out of careful bun she had pulled it into and she smiled up at him. "So," she continued sleepily. "Up for doing something later?"

OOC: Just in case anyone is having trouble keeping track of when things are happening, this happens before Sky and Bloom's meeting at the lake
"I don't want to move, can't make me."
Keeping his arms firmly wrapped around her, Sky grinned down at Christine's content features as he teased, tilting his head down slightly so that his breath tickled against her ear, "And who said anything about making you move?" A rumble of laughter sounding deep in his chest, Sky closed his eyes before continuing, "If anything, if you ever plan on moving again, you're going to have to fight me because I don't intend on ever letting you go."
Knowing that Christine would appreciate his humor, Sky smiled mischievously before he added, "So I guess that answers your other question - that is, unless this count as 'doing something later,' I'd rather just stick with what we're doing now."

Christine leaned up and stole a quick kiss. "This is just what I had in mind," she said, shifting ever so slightly to snuggle in better. "Snuggling with you is something I enjoy." Her eyes twinkled softly, shining with sheer love. Nothing could make this moment any better - this was heaven, it just had to be. Sky and she were together after all the heartache and headache, life was finally good.
"Although, I think I might be making Lady jealous since I'm all cuddled up against you and that strikes me as something she loves to do as well," she added with a soft laugh.

Opening his eye a crack at Christine's reference to Lady, Sky burst into a round of hearty laughter at the sight that greeted him. Indeed, he knew that Lady was without a doubt jealous, although she covered it well beneath an adorable veneer of large brown eyes that seemed to say, 'just you try to resist this look.'
Finally relenting, Sky patted the space beside himself and Christine as he said, "All right, Lady, come on over here." As his ever loyal dog eagerly bounded over, Sky pushed himself up slightly so that he could give her a nice long scratch behind her ears before he joked, turning to grin at Christine, "I'm afraid, Chris, that you're always going to have to be my number two gal because no one can top Lady." Leaning in to give Christine a quick kiss, Sky then finished with mock sadness, "Not even you, sorry to say."

Christine gave a playful offended sniff before breaking into a hearty hale of laughter herself. She leaned over and gently scratched behind Lady's ears. "Well, I will admit that she is a lovely dog. And she did keep me company a few times, isn't that right, m'Lady?" she asked. She didn't think she needed to explain why - that Sky would know.

Sky nodded silently before he replied, his tone again upbeat, as he flopped back onto his side, "Now, joking aside, what's on the agenda today?" Grinning, unable to keep from teasing her, Sky continued, "Let me guess, you're going to make me go with you to try on clothing and to get your hair done and do all those other things that all girlfriends make their boyfriends do, right?"

"Sky, I would ask you to put me out of my obvious misery if I ever went sheer girly-girl like Stella," she said, playfully shuddering. "Besides, I like my hair as is and I have a decent wardrobe, why change it?" She tilted her head for a moment as she thought. "But we could go out for ice cream.." she hedged.

"Ice cream?" Sky echoed before he averted his eyes, knowing that Christine would immediately pick up on his hesitation but also knowing that there was little he could do to mask it - she just knew him too well. Which was why he hated to act like this in front of her. He hated knowing that he was probably making her feel like she was doing something wrong - like he didn't want to be seen with her in public, or something.
That was partially true, but not because of anything Christine had done. He just wasn't ready for everyone to know about them becoming an official couple. Although, Sky thought with a slight grimace, if they were truly going to call themselves 'official,' they had to actually tell people. But the thought of that . . . Sky just didn't want to think about it. He knew their friends and he knew that the moment they found out about him and Christine, they would be all over them with jokes and light-hearted teasing. Truth be told, he wasn't entirely sure why the idea of that disturbed him so much, but it did. Certainly, he wouldn't have a problem being teased for being with someone like Alice or any other Alfea girl, but Christine wasn't an Alfea girl. She was one of them. A specialist. Which made things a bit more complicated. Most everyone at Red Fountain liked Chris and that made things difficult for him because he knew that the moment he made even the slightest mistake, everyone would be all over him. And knowing his tendency to stick his feet in his mouth combined with Christine's temper, Sky knew that it was only inevitable that they would butt heads occasionally no matter how much he loved her. And since Sky had a sneaking suspicion that whenever the two of them fought, most everyone would side with Christine, he had to admit, he wasn't looking forward to being 'the bad guy.'
Sighing, Sky glanced at Christine as he stalled, "Wouldn't it be more fun to just hang out around here?"

Christine said nothing, but was tempted to shift out of his arms. "I suppose," she hedged, feeling a wave of bitter disappointment rise up. Why couldn't he understand that she was tired of hiding? They had done nothing wrong - so why should they hide?

Seeing Christine's reaction and her obvious disappointment, Sky frowned as he felt his irritation with himself begin to increase in strength. He didn't want to make her feel like he was ashamed of their relationship, something he had the suspicion that he was doing. No, correction, Sky thought with a inward sigh. He knew that that was the way he was making her feel. And he hated that knowledge more than anything.
Swallowing back his hesitancy, Sky then said slowly, "But then again, it would be kind of nice to hang out in town - it feels like I haven't been to Magix in ages." Knowing that he would have to go a step further to make his poor behavior up to Chris, Sky added, "So maybe after ice cream, we could go for a walk in the park?" Giving her a light squeeze, he continued with a small smile that seemed to be asking Christine for forgiveness, "Or perhaps we'll get that ice cream to go and enjoy it in the park, hmm?"

Christine's blue eyes brightened and she smiled, a true smile, not one she always had plastered on her features to make the others think she was happy when she wasn't. "That sounds perfect," she said, smiling. She snuggled closer to him and sighed softly. "A walk sounds heavenly, and," she paused to laugh. "I think we better bring Lady with us, otherwise, she might get a bit jealous."

Chuckling, Sky then pretended to frown as he said, "Well, I guess that means I'll be paying for three ice creams because if we're following the logic of Lady being jealous of not being taken to the park, she's going to be even more jealous if we get ice cream and she doesn't." Grinning, Sky gave Christine another quick kiss as he teased, "Fortunately for the two of you, I'm practically made of money, so I think buying an extra cone won't be an issue - otherwise, you might have had to share with Lady and I hate to say, she's pretty selfish; you'd be lucky to just get one bite."
As his laughter slowly dwindled down, Sky then asked more seriously, "So, when do you want to go out? Your call - I'm pretty sure I'm free for the rest of the day."

"How about now?" she shyly ventured. "Of course, I probably should put on something that I should be seen in public in, not these sweats, even if you do think I look cute in them," she giggled.

"Now works for me," Sky said as he gently disengaged himself from Christine. Rising to his feet, he cast a quick smile at her over his shoulder before he continued, "If we're going to take Lady, though, I'm going to need to find her leash." Rolling his eyes, he joked, "Because apparently, a dog that's not on a leash - even one that's as well behaved as Lady - is a nuisance. Can you imagine? Some people actually don't like dogs. Strange, right?"
Stretching his arms over his head for a moment, Sky glanced at the opposite wall before he said, "11:15 - perfect. It's late enough in the day that we're hungry but early enough that we'll be able to beat the lunchtime rush if we hurry." Bending down to press another kiss to Christine's lips, Sky grinned as he said, "Now then, don't you decide to turn into a regular female on me now and end up taking two hours to get ready, okay? I'm patient, but not that patient."

Christine playfully swatted his arm before heading to her room to change out of her lounging sweats.
~
Fifteen minutes later, Christine walked out of her dorm, clad in a pair of tight fitting jeans and a loose flowing blouse. Her hair was loosely braided and a simple white rose was pinned near her left temple.
"Sky?" she called.
