Christine stormed past the males in the lounge room, her blue eyes sparkling with anger - justifiable anger she thought. She was highly insulted that Sky had left the show early and hadn't bothered to stay around so they could have drinks after the show as a team. "When I get my hands on him," she started, her Gaelic lilt returning in full force the angrier she got. "Sky! Where are you!" she snarled.
Although, her family was from two different realms, she had been raised in Ireland and picked up that temper. She whipped her head around at the sound of one of men snicker at her explosive temper. She shot that man a look of death, content only when she saw the man quail from her intense glare. She whipped her head back around, glancing in the direction of Sky's quarters.
"Sky! Git yer arse down 'ere!" Oh, this was going to be quite an entertaining night for the people in the lounge. Free show - another battle between Christine and Sky after she worked. Of course, in the back of her mind, she was hoping that he didn't wolf out on her during their fight. That could get messy and messy quickly.

Hearing the sound of what was unmistakably Christine's voice, Sky sighed as he put down the book that he had been catching up on for heroics class. Pulling a shirt on over his head, Sky stepped out into the hall outside his dorm and made his way to the lounge, knowing that Christine was going to be irritated beyond belief with him for leaving the club early - although he wasn't sure why she was even here back at Red Fountain. If he remembered correctly, Christine's performances usually lasted into the wee hours of the morning - at this particular moment she shouldn't even have been 2/3 of the way done.
As he finally entered the lounge, Sky paused in the doorway, his hands shoved deeply into his pockets. Glancing at Christine's enraged form, he raised his eyebrows as he asked, trying to sound casual, "What's up?"

"What's up?" she repeated, her voice rich and colorful with the Gaelic accent. "Ye broke wit' tradition! Ye're supposed tae leave afta we 'ave drinks," she bit out. Her blue eyes sparkled with anger. "An' Ah'm not e'en gonna start on ya actin' like a jealous 'usband!" She rocked back on her heels to see how he was going to react to her accusation of his acting like a jealous husband.
(OOC: Translations: You broke with tradition! You're supposed to leave after we have drinks. And I'm not even going to start on you acting like a jealous husband.)

Glancing down at his hands, Sky shrugged as he replied flatly, "I was tired - so I left. I'm sorry if I offended you by not saying good night, but I honestly didn't think it would be that big of a deal. Obviously I was wrong - although, I'm not really sure why."

"Ah suppose tradition means nothin' tae ya? Ye ne'er left befor' sharin' drinks," she drawled, her accent more pronounced, but softening her voice to an almost musical quality. "Wha' changed between us?"
OOC: I suppose tradition means nothing to you? You never left before sharing drinks. What changed between us?

"Changed? Nothing has changed. I don't know what you're talking about, Christine. So I left before having drinks - is that really that major?" Rubbing his forehead tiredly, Sky shook his head. "Look, can we just forget about this? I said I was sorry - isn't that enough?"

"Ah suppose," she said quietly. "An'... Ah'm sorry if'n Ah embarrassed ya at tha club wit' that song," she said, glancing away. "'Twas wrong of me."

Sky smiled faintly as he replied, "It was a good song - especially with your voice. But you already know that the crowd loves you." Pausing for a moment, Sky looked at Christine with a slightly furrowed brow. "I'm curious though - why did you leave the club early? I mean, yeah, I left - but you weren't even halfway through your performance. Don't you think your fans are a bit disappointed now? Maybe you should go back - I'm sure you'll be welcomed with open arms."

"Ah was worried about ya, an' a little angry so," she shrugged. "Ah lied a bit. Said Ah wasna feelin' well. An' tha truth, Ah wasna. Ah.. Ah.. Ah could feel him." She didn't think she needed to specify which him. There was only one serious him she truely feared - Darkar. She could feel him searching for her once again.

Feeling the eyes of the other Red Fountain students on them, Sky frowned at Christine's blatantly clear reference to Darkar. Not wanting to continue their conversation within listening range of everyone in the room, Sky tilted his head toward the door as he said quietly, "Maybe we should go outside."

Christine let Sky lead her outside. She pulled her thin jacket closer to her, a sudden chill creeping over her body. She leaned against the wall, hoping it would support her, since she didn't think her legs would keep her standing.

"Okay . . . now that we're out of hearing range of the other guys, what's really going on, Christine? I mean, are you trying to say that you think Darkar is going to come after you again?"

She nodded. "He's knows about tha keys, but he doesna know how tae use them. Ah know what's needed tae get them tae work," she said quietly. She looked at him, a look of fear on her face. "An' Ah'm afraid."
She looked away, not wanting him to see her look of fear. There was also the matter of Byron still haunting her dreams. She could also feel him just at the corner of her mind. He wanted her and would do anything to get her...
But she was more afraid of being used by Darkar then having Byron stalk her. And there was also the matter of having that awful feeling that someone from their collective past was coming back to haunt them.

Sky crossed his arms over his chest as he thought about what he could possibly say to Christine to soothe her fears - or even if there was anything he could say to make her feel safer. And even if he could, should he? Wouldn't that essentially be a lie considering that the possibility that Darkar would come after Christine again was rather high?
His shoulder sagging with sudden weariness, Sky finally said the only thing he could say: the truth. "I wish there was something I could to you, Christine, that would just make this go away, but there's not. I guess the only comfort we can have is that someday this will be over. It has to be."

Christine silently walked over to Sky and leaned against him. "Ah know," she whispered. "Ah jus' wish it was now an' 'at we didna have tae deal wit' Darkar anymore. Ah.. Ah want ya tae promis' me som'thin'."
