Her eyes fluttering open, Bloom laid in bed for a moment longer, just staring into the darkness. She had been dreaming, but it wasn’t just a dream. They had been memories, she just knew it. She remembered their first meeting, how cute and awkward he had been when they’d gone for a walk together; she remembered how he had deceived her, but how she couldn’t stay mad at him. She remembered their first kiss, however brief.
Rolling over, she found Flora’s bed was still empty. Strange, it must have been pretty late by now.
Slipping out of bed, she tucked a few pillows under the covers, an old earth trick to give the impression she was still there in case Flora returned before she did. Sure, she could just whip up something more believable with a quick spell, but although she remembered being a magical being, she couldn’t think of any spells off the top of her head. Besides that, she wasn’t sure she wanted to try her magic just yet.
Grabbing a coat out of her closet, she slipped it on over her PJs. Removing her cell phone from her bedside table, right where she had left it, she slipped it into her pocket and snuck over to the door. Opening it just a crack, she peered out into the common room only to find it empty as well.
Sneaking out of the room, she walked swiftly to the main door and snuck out into the hallway, closing the door as quietly as she could. The little click it made seemed to echo like canon fire. Maybe it would just be best to run.
Moving as quickly as she could through the halls, she was taken completely off guard when she turned a corner and ran headlong into someone else. Bouncing backwards, she landed hard on the floor on her rear end.
Uh oh. Busted.

"Easy there." Brandon said as he reached down to give the girl that had tried to run him over a hand up. "You okay?" He asked the red head before him, not sure to how she was going to react to his less then human features but he bumped into to her.

Wincing, Bloom kept her eyes tightly closed as she waited for a stern voice to reprimand her for sneaking around the school at night. The voice that she heard, though, was neither stern nor reprimanding. In fact, it was very kind and also very familiar...
Opening her eyes, she looked from the outstretched hand up to the figure’s face, surprised to see the human features were a bit on the lacking side. There was something about his voice, though. Something very familiar. And his eyes...
“I’m sorry, I was sort of trying to be sneaky here,” she said, hesitating momentarily before taking the fur covered hand. Since when did Alfea have werewolves? “I’m doing great so far, don’t you think?”

"Why do you want to be sneaky are you not supposed to be here?" Brandon asked, as he helped the girl up. "Where you going?" Brandon asked, curious to why some one other then him would be up this early.

Back on her feet, Bloom held his hand a little longer than necessary, her head tilted to the side and her eyes slightly squinted as she studied his face. Something so familiar...
“Oh, I live here,” she replied, finally releasing his hand. “I just probably shouldn’t be sneaking out at this time of night. Or morning.”
Giggling a little nervously, she glanced over her shoulder and then over his. The halls were empty. “I need to go see someone. I’ve been gone a few days and I’m sure he’s missed me.”
She didn’t say the real reasons. She didn’t say that it was her boyfriend she needed to see because she really missed him despite not remembering being away from him at all. She didn’t say that she needed to quell her fears and that she needed reassurance. She also didn’t say that, despite all her powers, she was afraid and knew that in his arms she would feel safe.
“Do you, uh, live here?”

"Staying here for right now, until the Professor can help me and Angel." Brandon said, not seeing any reason to not say something about it. "Will your friend be up this early?" Brandon asked, it seemed like everyone else was always asleep this early in the morning.

Looking away at his question, Bloom worried her bottom lip a little before shrugging.
“Now that you mention it, probably not,” she said before looking back at him with a spark of desperation in her eyes. “I don’t think he’ll mind, though.”
I really hope he doesn’t mind...
Suddenly, a hint of recognition struck her. Angel. Why did that name sound familiar? Something Flora had said earlier... no, that had been Angelique. But Angel could be a shorter version, which would mean...
No, it can’t be...
Leaning in a little closer to him, Bloom squinted her eyes slightly and stared directly into his. Suddenly her eyes widened and, gasping, she took a step back as recognition dawned.
“B-Brandon?”

Brandon cocked his head to the side, "How do you know my name?" he asked curious about that and why she was suddenly looking scared of him.

Bloom barely heard Brandon’s question as her mind went running off on a wild tangent, quickly followed by her mouth.
“Flora told me what happened but I was still so out of it and I just never imagined!” she spoke, still shaking her head in shock. It was all true. Just how long was she gone? The day, maybe two, that seemed to make sense to her was making less and less sense with each minute that passed. This was the work of more than one day. And Flora had said that Stella was frantically trying to find a way to turn him back... “Poor Stella!” Bloom suddenly exclaimed to herself, her heart actually paining as she thought of her best friend.

"I know Stella." Brandon happily said then asked, "Why poor Stella, she is nice?" Brandon was confused at to why Stella would be poor, sure the other day she ran out when she found out his name but what did that have to do with him, well besides the obvious of his name. It wasn't like he knew her all that well or anything. Or did he? There was something that was causing all the females at the school to act funny when he was around, and Brandon wanted to know what it was.

Brandon seemed so completely oblivious that it threw Bloom for yet another loop. She was getting really tired of all this throwing and looping. She couldn’t imagine that Brandon could forget Stella so easily and completely, but the way he answered seemed to prove just that.
It also proved that, although Stella was trying to find away to turn him back and restore his memories, she was doing so in secret from him. It was possible that Bloom had already said too much.
“Oh, it’s nothing. I’m just a little confused. I’ve... been away,” she lied poorly. She wasn’t sure what Stella had told him and what she hadn’t, but Bloom didn’t want to do anything to make it worse for her best friend.

"Away? Where did you go?" Brandon asked, curious about other places, specially since he couldn't remember anything from before he went to see the doctor.
This girl had been to some place he had to yet explore so Brandon couldn't contain his curiosity.

Where did she go? That was a very good question, along with when, why and how. Sadly, Bloom didn’t know the answer to any of them.
“I... I don’t know. I don’t remember,” she answered honestly, confusion clearly written on her face and in her voice.

"Oh, well when you remember will you tell me then?" Brandon asked, accepting it at face value. "Remember before your trip?" Brandon asked, hoping that would make the girl look a lot less confused.

That was the worst part. Not only did she not remember where she had gone, but she didn’t remember having gone anywhere at all.
“Uhh, yeah, sure,” she stated unsurely. Wanting to give him a little more, she plastered a smile on her face. “Sure, I’ll tell you all about it, although I can’t guarantee it’ll be interesting.”
This was so weird! Brandon was so... different. He barely looked like himself, he had no memories of his life and there was nothing she could do to quick fix it.
Stella must be going out of her mind! I can’t imagine what I’d do if Sky forgot me.
“Oh, yes,” Bloom suddenly said, snapping out of her thoughts. “I remember everything else, it’s just lately that’s a little fuzzy.”
