Battle for Sky's Heart

Although it is possible to accuse me of being too logical and perhaps even too studious to give much thought to the dalliances of one's heart, it simply isn't true. Yes, I may keep more of my wits about me in dealing with 'love,' but I have in fact dealt with it before. Or at least, I've dealt with being in 'like.' Which, honestly, is all I think you're in with both Bloom and Christine, Sky. You may think it is something more - and perhaps one day it could be - but at this stage? Hardly.

Nevertheless, Bloom is a dear friend of mine and she is practically everything I am not. She's warm and compassionate - what is that saying? Heart of gold? Whatever it is, she has it. Most of all, she is grounded. She is the type of girl that every guy could fall in love with, I imagine. So go on and surprise me, Sky. Prove that what you feel for her (which obviously is something or else you wouldn't be asking my opinion) is love. I do believe in love. I just believe, unlike many others apparently, that love requires hard work. You were with Bloom for a very long time (or at least, for people our age) and so do you not owe it to yourself and to her to give it another chance? Especially if you think that there is still something there between the two of you?

I don't know you or Bloom very well, Sky, but I do know Christine. She's a very kind, intelligent person and I absolutely hate what you turn her into. You drive her out of her mind with the way you jerk her emotions around. First you love her, then you don't. Then you're not sure and the cycle just keeps going on and on!

Now, I'm not really the bold type and so telling you this is rather difficult but since this is a matter that concerns my friend, then I'm willing to step outside my shell for once. She loves you. But you? No one knows what you feel! I don't even think you have the slightest clue what you feel. And because of that, I think you need to stop being so selfish - not just with Christine, but with Bloom too. Sit the two of them down and tell them you just don't know and that you need to figure it out for yourself. Away from them. Because what you're doing right now? You know, the whole stringing them both along? It isn't working for anyone. Because when all is said and done and maybe you decide once and for all that Christine isn't the one (although why you would ever think that is beyond me), how is that going to make her feel? Why waste her time when she could be out finding someone better for her than you?

So go do some thinking. And maybe you'll see that it's better to be alone for awhile. That maybe you're just not cut out to do the relationship thing.
