Christine leaned against a tree, before sliding down into a seated position. She had just escaped the madness over at Red Fountain - some of the female dragons had broken free, trying to get to a new nesting ground and she just needed a chance to breath after that.
Absently, she tossed a stick away from her, not conciously aware that she was triggering a hybrid's fetch response.
She had her head turned away for just one moment when she felt the stick drop in her lap. Whipping her head around, she caught sight of something and quickly shot her hand up to her mouth to stifle a scream. Being a student at Red Fountain prepared her for many things - this, just happened to not have been one of them.

"Throw it again?" Brandon begged and then tilted his head. "What's wrong?" He asked when she saw her look of surprise, he wasn't going to comment about his looks unless she asked.

"Nothing, nothing," Christine stammered out, trying to get her heart rate back under control. "They just never prepared us at Red Fountain for this," she admitted. "Sure.. toss stick... sure..." she said, still in mild shock.
She tossed the stick again, completely confused.

It didn't take long for Brandon to return with the stick, dropping in into her lap once again he asked, "Prepared you for what? Throwing a stick?"

"Uh... never prepared us for anything like ah.. you. You're nothing we've dealt with before. Ah, sorry, don't mean to offend you if I have.."

"Since I'm not a natural creature I don't mind. People tend to stare at me a lot now." Brandon said, nudging the stick towards her again.

Christine's eyebrows raised at his comment. 'No, Chris,' she mentally lectured herself. 'No having a vision. Still.. It would explain.. No.' She noticed his nudging the stick towards her and tossed it.

"Your good at this." Brandon happily informed her as he once again gave her the stick for her to throw for him.

"Thank you," she said. "I, uh, have a dog of my own," she admitted. Well, her father did turn into a dog so that wasn't a full lie.

"Really? What kind of dog is he?" Brandon asked, curious about other dogs.

"I don't know the exact breed, but uh..." she paused, ducking her head in embarrassment. "It's like this. This woman wanted to marry my father, but he refused. So because of that, she had him cursed... Which means, ah, he is the dog I referred to earlier.."
