Eris-an sat in the back corner on the small coffee shop, throughly enjoying his book. Unlike a lot of places in Magix it was a quiet and quaint place, far off the beaten track with very few students as patrons. Actually very few people at all seemed to venture through it's doors, which was probably why he liked it so much.
Well that and the coffee and food were really amazing, it almost tasted like the things from home. Not that he minded 'foreign' food but sometimes you just wanted a taste of home. The owner, who he'd talked with quite a bit, had spent a lot of time traveling in his youth and after retiring here had decided to open his own little 'treat' shop offering a wide variety of drinks and desserts from all over the realms.
Eris-an was so engrossed in his novel he missed when a familiar face slid into the seat across from him.

More then pleased with this day's bounty from the owner of the tea store, Tash's gaze swept the room as she leaned against the till as the shop keeper got her order ready. Spotting a familiar person tucked in the back, Tash had to do a double take. She shouldn't have been so surprised that he found a place like this but she couldn't help it.
Ordering her own drink from the owner, Tash made her way over to where Eris-an was sitting and slid into the booth across from him. When she didn't get a response, Tash asked "What cha readin?" Purposely using both a tone and a choice of words that were sure to irritate the prince.

"A book." Eris-an answered trying not to let Tash get to him.

"Wow, who would have thought that." Tash sarcastically commented as she sipped her drink. Reaching out she forced the book up enough for her to be able to look at the back only to find that it was a hand bound book and didn't have a description on the back.
"What's it about?" Tash asked, as she tried to take the book.

Eris-an refused to let her have it tugging it back, what was with Tash and stealing his books,"Please be careful." He said, worried about the books worn and aged pages. "If you must know it's just a book of poetry, a very old book." he emphasized the last part as he once again moved it from Tash's grasping hands.

"I just wanted to see it, it's not like I'd intentionally hurt the book. Just because I'm not as stuffy as you are doesn't mean I'm careless." Tash informed him, she respected books but believed that they should be shared so the wealth of knowledge in them was available to multiple people. That and she wanted to see for herself just what type of poetry it was.

"I am not 'stuffy'." Eris-an nearly stumbled over the word carefully handing the hand written book over to Tash, "Just mind the pages." he told her. He watched Tash as her eyes skimmed the pages, the book was handwritten in his native language but he knew she could understand it so he wasn't worried about having to answer any silly question.

"You are very stuffy" Tash corrected not looking up from the book. "Huh, this is actually pretty good." Tash commented at she flipped the page with exaggerated care.

Eris-an just glowered but let Tash enjoy herself nonetheless as he sipped at his coffee.

"Think I'd be able to convince you to let me borrow it? Or I'm not refined enough to read the book without you standing over me?" Tash asked as she looked up and waited to see his response.

Eris-an just stared at her, "Do you really think me so shallow?" he asked softly putting down his cup.

"Well you do have this habit of warning me to be careful with any book I pick up." Tash said as she shrugged.

"At the rate things things tend to get destroyed in your presence..." Eris-an trailed off with a shrug.

"But how much of that is actually my fault?" Tash retorted, not really able to argue that point. She did tend to get into the middle of a lot of messes.

"That is not the point."
