OOC: Sorry that we haven't moved from the house yet, but now we are, damn it. Peter cleared his throat and looked up at Sky. "So, princeling, think we can go? The longer we wait, the more time Ommadon has to prepare for our arrival," Peter said. He rose slowly from his seat and made for the door. "I'm going to see if the horses are in the stable. We might have to pair people up on them. It'll beat walking." Danielle stood up and followed Peter outside. "Do you think he's ready?" "The princeling? I honestly don't know," Peter answered. "But we'll find out." ~ Brian glanced over at Rashiel. "You ready?"

Watching everyone walk away from him, Sky muttered to himself under his breath, "Well, I guess that's a yes. But it'll be for the best, right, Sky? Right. Of course it will be. It has to be. The sooner this quest is over, the sooner everything will be back to normal. It's going to go smoothly and there is nothing to worry about . . . I mean, sure, there's a good possibility that I may, you know, not come back alive - but how important is that?" Shaking his head, Sky closed his eyes, "Snap out of it Sky. Don't be sarcastic. Be positive. Positive."
Opening his eyes, Sky nodded and said to no one in particular, "Well then, let's get rolling. No time like the present."

: Melisande wordlessly approached Sky before he left the house. "Be careful," she said quietly, trying her best to smile. "And please, come back safely." She was trying not to cry. "We'll pray for your safe return. And we have faith in you."

"Thank you, Lady Melisande," Sky replied, deeply touched by her words. "I give you my word as a prince that I will do my very best . . . I can only hope that that will be enough to be successful."

: Melisande smiled her first real smile since the meeting started. It was a ghost of a smile but it was there. "I believe you," she responded quietly. "I know Christine would thank you as well. Although, knowing her, she'd be demanding to go with you. She can be stubborn about matters like this."

"Well, if I have anything to say about it, in due time we'll have the Christine we love back to normal. Stubbornness and all." Casting a glance around, Sky sighed, "But I admit, I am not certain that I can do this. I haven't the slightest idea how to undertake this quest and . . . I'm sorry. This isn't probably what you want to hear from the person who at the moment is in charge of your daughter's well being. I-I'll just have to do my best." After a moment's pause, Sky continued, "But I should probably go find Sir Peter; he's anxious to get started and I don't want to delay him anymore than I most likely already have."

: "That's all I really ask for," Melisande said quietly. "That you do your best." She gave him another ghost of a smile. "And from the way her letters read, how she practically sang your praises, I think you'll succeed." She took a step back and headed back inside the house. : Peter was quiet and made his way over to Sky. "I'll help you in whatever way I can. You have a slight advantage over me. You have people on your team that had done this before, I didn't." Peter gave him a wry grin. "So, which do you prefer? Walking or flying?"

Sky laughed, "I think I better fly just because . . . uh . . . well, my flying still needs practice. And the last thing any of us need is to end up having to have me fly somewhere and me not being able to do it. Besides, practice makes perfect, right?"

: Peter nodded. "So, do you remember how to get off the ground?" he asked, looking up at Sky. He wasn't sure if he really wanted Brian to pick a fight with Sky if it turned out that Sky didn't remember.

"Of course, I do," Sky replied, casting an uneasy glance at Brian. "You just . . . I mean . . . all you have to do is -" Sky faltered, feeling incredibly idiotic and helpless. "I'm just out of practice, that's all. I'll remember any second now. Any second." Sighing in defeat, Sky continued, ". . . or maybe not."

OOC: .... right, um... sure... ::hurriedly flips through pages:: "Right, explaining it in a chemistry setting would go over your head," Peter muttered to himself. "Okay, let's see, hydrogen is lighter then air, therefore, you'll have to expand the area housing the hydrogen. Once that happens, up you go. The wings merely guide you in the direction you wish to go. Getting down, all you have to do is expel the flames." Peter only hoped that this would work.

: "Think you can help me saddle the horses for the rest of us? I'm not sure if you fairies can handle the trek by wing. He can since dragons have more stamina," Danielle said quietly. She looked fairly edgy and not entirely eager to be on this quest. But that was mostly due to the age of some of the members, herself included.
