OOC: takes place several months after Confusion and Coming Clean : Aurelie just lay limply on the bed, her color pale. The doctor had confined her to bed after she started losing weight - but supposedly the baby was doing just fine, it was her that wasn't. She barely had any appetite and barely touched her food. She just had no desire to eat. Even breathing was taking a toll on her. She should have seen this coming - especially when she remembered how her mother fared carrying her younger siblings. Her mother had died giving birth to her younger sister, Roseline, the fourth daughter out of a family of six children. To this day, her baby sister Roseline blamed herself for their mother's death. She groaned softly and made the attempt to sit up when the door to her chamber opened. "Demetrius?" she asked weakly.

Entering the bedroom, Demetrius moved to sit on the chair beside her bed. With a furrowed brow, he asked concernedly, "How are you feeling, Aurelie? Any better than yesterday?"

: Aurelie gave him the faintest of smiles at seeing him visit her. But the smile soon faded. "Doctor said I lost another three pounds," she said softly. "He said, if I lose another two pounds, he's going to give me a feeding tube or something. I just haven't had the energy to eat. I'm just too tired."

"It doesn't matter if you're too tired," Demetrius replied with quiet conviction. "You have to eat - if not for yourself, then for the baby." Pausing for a moment, he then said, "If it takes me needing to get someone to feed you for you to eat, then I will."

: Aurelie shook her head a little. "The baby's fine. Doctor says it's surprising since I'm doing so poorly." She didn't have the heart to tell Demetrius that she was doing poorly because of her family tree - she was half Linphean.

Stubbornly, Demetrius replied, "Well, if you keep losing weight, it's only a matter of time before the baby is affected. There's just no way around it. You not eating means that the baby won't be getting adequate nutrition . . ." Shaking his head, he continued, "Perhaps I should speak with your doctor about getting that feeding tube in you sooner."

: Some color did appear - an angry rose tinted across her cheeks. "Please, Demetrius," she whispered softly. "You can do anything you want, just don't humiliate me like that." Tears threatened to form and fall as she looked up at him. "It's been like this in my family for as long as I can remember - the females in my family have a very hard time having children."

Demetrius sighed as he replied, "Fine. We'll hold off on the tube for a little longer to see if you improve any - but I'm not making any promises that it won't be a possibility. If you keep getting worse, my mind will be made up."

: "Thank you," she breathed softly. "The doctor said next month that he'll be able to tell if it's a boy or girl..."
