A hastily penned message arrived from Red Fountain and was nestled on top of all the papers on the king's desk.

We regret to inform you that Prince Sky has been taken prisoner by Darkar. And further, we regret to inform you that in addition to be taken prisoner that Prince Sky has been transformed from prince of light to prince of darkness. He recently attacked Red Fountain, nearly killing several students and captured the Codex hidden with its walls.

"Unbelievable," Aldrich muttered, his fists clenched tightly around the piece of paper, his face steadily growing more and more red with pure rage. "Absolutely unbelievable. This is what I get for sending my son to a prestigious school? I find out that he's . . . he's a prisoner? And evil? Bloody hell . . . that's it, I must have a word with Red Fountain's administration. I'm going to give that Saladin a piece of my mind. Hmph." Muttering under his breath, he continued, "They say they'll keep your children out of harm's way, but when it comes down to it, they're worthless and won't do squat. They don't have any more sense than a rock sitting by the side of a road. Unbelievable. To think that I actually believed Sky would be safe in that pathetic establishment."

Turning to the guards standing at his door, Aldrich snapped, "Have the servants prepare a suitcase for me; I will travel to Magix at once."
