"Morning. Can I come in?" Tash asked at the door as she let herself in anyways; she had only really asked out of politeness. Settling into a chair across from her father, Tash grinned at him. "How are you?" she inquired, she could at least be polite before she attempted to execute this plan of Christine's.

: Jules's gut feeling told him to not trust that grin. "I'm fine, thank you," he said, drawing it out. "And yourself?"

"I'm good, and don't worry it's not going to be that painful I promise." Tash giggled, "Curiosity has once again gotten the better of me and I can't think of anyone better to answer my questions then you. Think your up for it?"

: "All right," he said, arching an eyebrow. "So what do you have in mind for questions?"

"What was mom like before you got married?" Tash out right asked, having beat around the bush long enough. "She doesn't talk about it that often."

: "Hm.. tomboy," Jules said. "She and your aunt, Strongheart's first wife, my sister, had this uncanny knack of showing up where we were and getting us into trouble."

"So if she was always getting you into trouble, wouldn't that make you not like her?"

: Jules cleared his throat. "I had a mild crush on her. In fact, Strongheart got me to confess that in front of her uncle, one of his guards. Talk about embarrassing."

That made Tash giggle, she didn't know about her uncle but she could see something like that happening. "And what happened because of your telling Mom's uncle that you liked Mom?"

: "I chased after him, knocked him to the ground and nearly decked him. He apologized for embarrassing me. But in retrospect, I think her uncle was quite pleased that I liked his niece. After all, I was deemed a good catch by all the matchmaking mamas since my father was one of Strongheart's father's own guard."

"Why do I get the feeling your being a good catch didn't impress Mom all that much." Tash asked after she stopped giggling.

: "Well, I don't know," Jules admitted. "See, there were a lot of girls who wanted to be mine and it kind of intimidated your mother. A lot. It wasn't until I was in this," he said, gesturing to the chair. "That your mother and I admitted that we loved each other."

"How'd the chair make you admit that you loved each other?" Tash had to aske, "If you don't want to talk about it, it's okay I did spring this on you."

: "Your mother didn't pity me," he said quietly. "She treated me like I was normal, like I used to be." He glanced away for a moment. "Part of it dealt with your aunt, and that's a story I'm not comfortable telling."

"Okay," was all Tash said to his not wanting to talk about it she understood the not wanting to talk. "Want me to stop asking questions?"
