Christine leaned against a wall, watching, waiting for someone who probably wasn't going to show given how he fared at the past couple of parties. She didn't blame him, a fun time was not had by all at any party at any given time. Well, the plus side to her costume - she had gone as Clara from the Nutcracker - was that if she felt exhausted, she could just slip out, find an abandoned dorm room and catch up on some much needed sleep. The nightmares were back, with a vengeance, and once that happened, she could forget about sleep.
Her eyes closed for a moment and she mentally drifted off before she felt someone touch her shoulder. The eyes looked familiar but everything else... Was that an honest to goodness nutcracker prince?

Across the room, Tash firmly planted herself on one of the benches with every intention of not going anywhere. She agreed to come but she didn't have to join in the festivities. Well she hoped anyways, even though she knew it was a futile wish.
Tugging at her top, Tash sighed as she leaned back against the wall, wondering how the Arabian dancer costume was supposed to cover more then the nymph one did. On second thought she really didn't want to know considering who it was that made the costumes.
Leaning back against the wall she missed the entrance of the guys, more in particular the ones Kevyn was calling their counter parts. She personally didn't have to worry about that as she was single and that was not going to change. Ever.
"Kevyn, how long do I have to stay here dressed like this?"

Musa looked around the room, searching for her friends, or at least someone to talk to. She was listening to the music at the same time, and loving it. It pretty neat, and suitable to a Hallowen party, she thought.
She was smiling, behind her skeleton mask. She rather liked the costume, it was kind of confortable, looked kind of cool, but the mask could get annoying, after a while.

Christine demurely lowered herself into a curtsy and glanced up at the nutcracker through veiled eyes. "Hello, Nutcracker," she said softly. "If you're looking for the mouse king, I haven't seen him yet."

Kevyn answered knowing full well that Tash would be changing halfway through the night anyway. "Don't complain, it could always be...." Kevyn trailed off as her eyes were covered from behind. "Hello darling." she teased.

Tash glared at her friend for a second before Kaelin covered her eyes. Sharing a look with her brother she greeted them. "Hey guys, Ris you might want to let go of Kev before she gets the wrong idea and Kae shows up."
Looking over the costume of the guys she paused at Eris-an's, "Just what the hell are you supposed to be? Somehow dressing in your own clothing doesn't count. Or so I was told."

"Huh?! Eris-an!!!" Kevyn quickly smacked the hands holding her eyes and turned to give him what for, believe Tash. But ones her eyes met with laughing green rather then soft gold/brown she realized she'd been had.
"Not funny Tash." she chastised.

"This is why I am NOT letting Kaelin choose the costumes if we do this next year." Eris-an replied, shift uncomfortably. Wearing such cloths in the desert was one thing but wearing them in a climate where it wasn't necessary was another.
"Honestly though Kaelin, does this not seem just a little redundant to you?"

"Not in the least." Kaelin responded to Eris-an. "It was the best thing I could come up with that wouldn't have you running in the opposite direction." Kaelin teased, as he looked over the costumes the girls were wearing. Oh he knew what they were going to be but he hadn't known what the costumes would look like. "Wonderful job on the costumes, Kev."

"Thanks." Kevyn smiled, "Though it's Anara you should really thank, she did most of the sewing since I kept getting sidetracked by homework."

"Where is Anara anyway?" Quinn asked, re adjusting his mask. Going as the Phantom from the play Phantom of the Opera seemed like a good idea at the time Kaelin suggested it but this mask was murder.

"At least your suits you.." Tash once again glared at Kevyn, "She made me a, well you can see what it is. Not only do I not dance but I don't like skirts and yet somehow I got both tonight." Tash grumped as she realized just what all the costumes were and how they had all been paired off. "Oh Bloody hell, Kevyn."

Kevyn shrugged, "She said she'd be a bit late, there was something wrong with her arrangement home that she had to sort out."

"No." Anara said as she came up behind them, dressed as Christine Daae, "But they're threatening to make me a student if I stay too much longer." "Hello dear." She gave Quinn a kiss on the unmasked part of his cheek.
